Deng Yaping (China) vs Li Bun Hui (North Korea), end of game 3. Women's singles final, 1991 World Table Tennis Championships, Chiba, Japan. At age 18, this was the first of Deng's three titles in women's singles (1991, 1995, 1997); she also won Olympic gold in 1992 and 1996. Deng Yaping played long pips on the backhand. Li Bun Hui was runner-up at the 1989 and 1991 Worlds, and won bronze medals in singles and doubles at the 1992 Olympics.
