That's why we love mathematics Ellie, she teaches us to see the details in small things, also that sometimes the results we expect come from very fine adjustments, as mentioned in your video. Thank you for making my Sunday better!! 😊✌🏼

I‘d love to see something about the maths/physics of the throwing disciplines. Javelin, Discus, Hammer, Shot Put.

I would love to see an explanation of the math behind how the tracks are marked for longer races? I tried looking it up on UA-cam but no luck!

Golf...I would really be fascinated by your thoughts on the math behind the core and dimples on a golf ball, the clulbs they use, the flight of the ball for long shots, and the maths involved with putting. Your videos are great; Thank You. DML

It isn't crazy difficult maths but I always find it interesting that long distance runners are happy to run wide for long periods to not get boxed in. Each lane moving outwards adds over 7 metres to the distance ran.
If you ran in lane 2 rather than lane 1 for an entire 10k race you'd run almost half a lap extra. Considering most races are split by a matter of metres you'd think athletes would try much harder to run as close to the inside as possible!

I did a maths degree many years ago at Warwick (Although forgotten a lot) but love sport from tennis to golf to powerlifting. Usually use statistical arbitrage in sports betting. Current win rate about 70% and up $620k

Hello Ellie. First of all, I would like to thank you for your video, and I would appreciate if you let me ask you a question about something else. In a post on your Instagram, you had a "Megaminx", a version of Rubik's cube. How long did it take you to solve the triple Rubik's cube and the Megaminx? Is it mathematical maturity that allows you to solve such cubes? Because I have no background in mathematics and thanks to you I became fascinated with mathematics.

Hello! Thank you for your comment and for supporting both my UA-cam and instagram channel ☺️ I've actually never timed myself doing a standard rubik's cube or the megaminx; I just solve them as a bit of fun! I might start though 😁 I'm so glad to hear you became fascinated in mathematics! If you have any video suggestions, let me know!!

Actually, what I meant to say was this: I want to solve the Rubik's cube with my own logic without memorizing algorithms. Speed is not important to me. I wondered if mathematical maturity was necessary for this, because as far as I know, the inventor of the cube was able to solve it in a month. That's why I was also curious about your solution time. By the way, I can recommend a video: Quanta Magazine has an interactive math map project called "The Map of Mathematics". I think it would be a seminal experience for all of us if you videoize how mathematical concepts are interconnected through this project.

Hi Ellie. I'm just wondering if Kate Ledecky was also applying these data-driven training that Prof. Ken Ono pioneered to improve her performance? Thanks if you could answer. Regards.

How do you guys define math? Systematic study of..? A math person that teaches math said that it is "study of pattern through deductive inference". Does that hold?
