    How long can we store this Italian buttercream in fridge?

    Why is it that everytime I try to make Italian or Swiss merengue buttercream it never seems right? When I put the cake in the fridge it becomes hard and is pretty much like plain butter consistancy, and the taste is always way too butter as if you are just eating butter on a sponge.

      Add more flavouring or beat your buttercream for much longer.
      And yes it will become hard in the fridge if it contains butter - always place cakes in a lidded airtight container and bring to room temp before eating.

    Is it suitable in hot and humid weather? Also, can we use this to cover fondant cakes?

      Yes it is. Either than chocolate ganache it is the steadiest buttercream in the world and is perfect under fondant

      Hi Evelyn, buttercream icing can be refrigerated in an airtight container for two weeks. Before using, bring icing to room temperature and stir with a spatula or re-whip with a mixer.       Hi Evelyn, you should not refrigerate fondant. In fact, it should avoid any contact with your refrigerator. Leftover fondant should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature. Here's some more info you might find helpful: blog.wilton.com/how-to-store-fondant/

    Can i use this with russian piping tips
    I use the swiss marigue but not working good it’s melt
    And american is so sweet and frosterd

      Hey! yes russian piping tips work perfect
      In terms of Italian and swiss, they are almost the exact texture, maybe beating the egg whites longer will help.

    Is it possible to sub out part of the butter for shortening? Whenever I make Swiss meringue or Italian meringue buttercream, my daughter just says it tastes like straight up butter.

      Hey sam! I make Italian and swiss religiously, and my main issue at frist was the buttery taste too! If a recipe calls for 1 cup butter, 1/2 cup egg whites,1 cup suagr salt and vanilla. Take out a tablespoon of the butter from the recipe, even when it's just a tablespoon, I find that it helps. Also whip it for a while, like 12-15 min.       @@kalilantrip927 meringue powder doesn't work trust me. It has to be egg whites.

      Meringue powder contains dried egg whites and yes its possible to use meringue powder however if someone doesn't eat eggs the powder is not an option.

    It's now 04.27 I am officially hungry now.
    Sadly I would love a Kitchen Aid. However sad to say a Company that was being allowed to sell on a Social.Media site (They were selling reconditioned Kitchen aids) I purchased and NEVER RECEIVED. after chasing the company with many mails they said it was not delivered as I was not at Home..Then they said It was delivered (I was not at home as I was at the chiropractor ) I live alone with 2 cats. So they received my money..I have no Kitchen Aid..Maybe one day I will finally afford one..
    I keep dreaming.
    Love the video though.
    Am going to try to sleep and dream of a Kitchen Aid and This beautiful Very Tasty Buttercream

      I am just so cross that Social Media sights (I am no longer on this particular sight) Have allowed companies to sell advertise and then lie.
      My biggest hate are liars.
      Thank goodness I have a very strong faith and am aware of where Liars are sadly heading..
      I cannot imagine how much money this company made from (Selling reconditioned Kitchen Aids) and then lying, stealing in fact my money. Because thieves also are among my most dislikes, So they lied and stole.
      What lack of a conscience

      Yes, but thankfully I have a faith , in a Creator whose eyes are roving around the entire earth, seeing all.
      So although I have lost money with this company and sadly for those genuine companies who do sell reconditioned Kitchen Aids etc and other products, Sadly I do not trust that monies will be attained and products not forthcoming.
      So it's sad, however Thankfully I trust that soon (All wickedness which includes lying cheating stealing etc) will be done away with.
      This gives me a peace of heart and mind that deceivers will no longer be around to deceive anyone else.
      But hey I have my two hands with which I bake many items but for sure this recipe really does deserve the help of a Kitchen Aid
      😅😅😄😄

      If you paid via a bank or Paypal you call make a claim through the bank or Paypal. In fact you should be able to make a claim with whoever you paid via.
