My variation: If your token lands on Chance, and you land on Chance again for the round when sliding again, you can either choose to place it anywhere you want(except Chance), or sacrifice it to remove one of your opponent's pieces for the round! If you own a full colour set, owning a house DOUBLES the score for this round, instead of one property of your choice! If you have multiple pieces on houses, for every piece on that house, increase your Property Multiplier by 1X, up to 4X! All player's property will count towards your score, no matter how many players landed their pieces on it. For example, Player A AND B have slided their tokens on Boardwalk. Normally the player who goes first gets it, but in my variation, BOTH will get that property!
My counterpoints for why these rules are probably not great: Then what's the point of not getting chance again just to make someone mad? Especially if they're not good at dexterity games. And it also allows for chance to be such a strong counter tool that getting properties is disincentivized. Effectively leading to a possibility of using the mechanic to negate itself AND the rest of the game at the same time. Swings the scores too wildly to be fun, and too easily leads to one good round mattering more than playing consistently well. (Also, it would be a max of 3x. The base value, the two tokens to actually claim the properties, and the other two tokens to get the multiplier. 2x if we're counting the three space properties.) That negates the literal only disadvantage to being last, meaning that the only time you should ever try is if you are last in turn order, intensifying the other two points.
Kinda seems like Shuffleboarding with extra steps and a Monopoly theme.
The concept looks fun and interesting :D It has very little of a monopoly game aside from branding and thematic... I hope it has replay value!
“The rules are same as regular Monopoly, except for these changes”
For a refresher of these rules, check out this video:
It's kinda like Sorry Sliders but Monopoly.
Yeah
And sorry sliders is like shuffle board but sorry
The first Monopoly how-to-play video of 2024.
Monopoly's version of Sorry! Sliders.
Technically, even if it doesn't have much to do with Monopoly.
As a person who doesn't like board games and hates monopoly this is actually a fun game
I love Monopoly Knockout, i Always wanted one on my birthday 😊

Kinda neat, but I'd rather alternate turns of tabletop curling and regular Monopoly.
