My late wife used to call me ,,"McGuyver"... As I would come up with all these different ways of doing things by myself... Coming along nicely...good job!
My dad was a body man all his life. He would take a 2x4 and bend he doors back up to the point where they came from. They are bent down from the weight over time so logically you bend them back up and not try to get an adjustment that just isn't there for bent hinges. Takes a minute and it really works. You still have bent hinges that's why your door alignment is off. bending the door up would have bent the top hinge in and had a bigger like the bottom gap.
Another great video! cant wait for the next on..My ocd keeps kicking in , I would have pulled the engine and tranny and cleaned all that up while the car was apart I fully understand the constraints on the project..You are doing a great job as always and the car is looking beautiful !!
Good video! I need that door stand. Ive been postponing my doors on my car for 2 weeks, waiting on help lol. Only thing i can add is it may be easier to lift the door if it had the handle on it. And those spiked washer plates behind the quarter panel latch are a big deal!!. Without them the doors will gradually sink in further after being open and closed. Moving the latch. I like to hit it with the impact after i get them dialed in....not moving after that!!
Thank you and I probably will use my impact that I have that you hit with a hammer and that’s probably one of the best tools I’ve ever bought you could take your time and not have to worry
