I wish I had a pastor like him growing up I would be more into god I had a pastor that was closed minded bless him tho. I respect all beliefs live your life how you wish too and I hope every one had a long and powerful life
It's true that not all whites are racists, Lil Baby (And so glad to hear his acknowledgment of this!). The only real "Black & White" in this world is those who hate, who give into fear, who refuse to reach out.... and those who love, who make every effort to understand and care, who DO reach out. My best childhood friend was black, and up until his death in 1988 (which devastated me!), there was not a single time we ever discussed race. It was never discussed because we were true friends! Read that last sentence, folks, because it is rarely addressed on news programs! Where do i see that happen (other than in my own life since i still have close friendships with people of colour) the most? In TV shows and in movies for many years now! Now, wouldn't you think the country, the world, would get the message? This might blow some people's minds, but while i was involved in organizations and groups promoting cultural unity, i was beaten by 5 black men a week after the Rodney King verdict on the very block i both lived on and worked (i was the house pianist at a club just two doors down), and do you think i hated my attackers? No...i had empathy for them! And i have enough intelligence to know that hate always leads to a ton of more negative things than can be mentioned. What happened to George Floyd and Breonna Taylor ripped my heart out! (AND Eric Garner, and...wow, just far too many...) And i may join them in knowing the effects of racial hatred, but this is where it's different: The hatred and violence toward me was not systemic. It was reactionary. i may be just one small voice in a sea of billions, but i was interviewed for two newspaper articles about that incident in the Reading Eagle due to a letter i'd written entitled, "Dear Planet Earth" just three days into the LA riots because i just did not understand that kind of violence happening in our country because i never felt hatred in my heart toward my fellow man. i was mortified at the over-the-top abuse by those policemen, and horrified that some people used that as an excuse to bust up businesses, even those owned by fellow African-Americans! It blew my mind! And there i was painting murals, involved with a cross-cultural neighborhood consortium promoting the love the world seems to refuse to embrace. i don't care about your skin tone because are my brother and sister in this torn up world! And Dr. Adolf...May the Lord bless what you do! Very appreciative of your commentary regarding Lil Baby's performance!
Great reaction you guys are awesome.lil baby was speaking that real shizz. White dude from north carliona who is an afghan veteran all I see is red, white, and blue we are all just Americans
Hey guys I just found your channel and love the pastors take on this song I suggest “wishing for a hero” by Polo G what he says is the “other side” of lil baby’s depiction of this side of the issue at hand and speaks more from the younger generation point of view that is best summed up as “eye for an eye” I believe the pastor would love how deep and thoughtful the song is for a 21 year old young man to make hope to see it one day! Love you guys 💪🏻🖤
I love how the pastor checked the comment of “black people can be racist” and gave context on why black ppl feel the way they feel about yt ppl. It’s total different. Being treated like peasants for hundreds of years how do you expect us to feel?
3 months later this vid pops up. Wish I seen this earlier. This pastor is an inspirational man. I’m white angst it’s nice to see him being up the racism on both sides and also talk about the part how lil baby is not taking a sad but speaking to Americans as one. God bless him...
This is the kind of Christian that people should listen to. I am a Christian like this man. I am not a white supremacist or racist. God does not support racism. Some folks need to learn that.
He stated some very good points and some that I don’t totally agree with but I’m willing to listen to you. That’s what people need to understand if you just listen to people it’ll be alright.
Much respect to the Pastor who has the Godly, spiritual fortitude to look beyond secularism, and hear, listen, and understand the message that Lil Baby is/was intending to convey; Pastor showed the Godly and pastoral ability to look beyond and address the ROOT of the message; other Pastors may have stopped/not listened and focused on the fact that Satan/Lucifer is the God of Music and immediately shut this down, but again, Pastor saw lil baby's heart, and intended MESSAGE, did not judge lil baby and...Pastor may have recalled the scripture about looking at the glint in your own eye.
I wish I was old enough to carry but I’m not and pastor if I can call you that, I would try and try again to save black people and when we see blue lights we all should be scared
I know that I'm very late to this reaction but there was just one thing I wanted to share my opinion on. Racism, by definition, has to do with power and it's relation to prejudice based on race. I know you both disagreed with the idea that black people can't be racist but from what I understand from what I've been taught, because the lack of power minorities hold in our country, they cannot use power over other races to act on their prejudices and that's why my aunt who is also a black pastor in our community doesn't believe black people can be racist. However, this does not mean black people can't or don't hold prejudices based on race.
@@mxtt8170 exactly, most aren’t understanding the actual power behind racism, their not realizing the amount of power a person or race has when they are able to oppress a race and the effects of that oppression evolve into an inherited oppression of a mind that is still under the same laws designed not for said race protection, but thats me veering off of the original point I was making, is that the black race has never had or have the power to oppress any other race here in the United States. The mere fact that black people don’t have the wealth created from slavery and poor labor wages, the black race has never imprisoned any race disproportionately, that’s the definition of racism, having a dislike for a race that has benefited and still benefiting from privilege of any manner fits the term prejudice vs racist
