This video is about the daily routine of a Tibetan retired women, Mrs Chungda, who is 65 years old, living 3km west of Potala Palace in Lhasa downtown.
From the early morning meditation to the 3-time koras around the Potala Palace, she spent most of the time praying and chanting.
Follow her steps, you can take a part in the daily kora around the Potala Palace with the locals.
Perhaps it was unlike most imagined lives of normal housewives, who take much time looking after the family members, her life is more restful and enjoyable.

Because the economy is growing very fast in Tibet after the alpine train construction completed in 2008, Tibetan people are enjoying better lives unprecedentedly.
They are lucky to live in a modern apartment. If under Daila ma.. They be living in mud homes with candles.

I don't know which words is correct. Please!

Rich Tibetans? This is just the beginning. China has arrived at a stage that no Chinese citizen will have to live in poverty and not having enough to eat. It's now the world's largest consumer economy and growing at a rate of 6% per annum. It now has enormous resources to assist its citizens in term of education, healthcare, housing, employment and etc. For all the Chinese, especially the younger generations, they can start to have a dream and pursue that dream.
Tibet needs to develop and modernize, roads and Bridges，and that's what the Chinese government has been doing. We Chinese can't let the Tibetan Chinese just raise sheep and cattle to earn a little money！

This lady lives in a nice house with all modern amenities. She has a good life. This was an eye opener for me, as whatever little we know from the media portrays Tibet as being mired in poverty, hardship and discrimination. My Tibetan relatives in Tibet think Indians are poor too. It’s the media’s image depicting India as dirty and poor. I have to explain to them that just like Tibet , there are rich Indians and then middle class Indians and poor Indians too

If you visit with a pet, make sure they are acclimated to the heights. Since the tibetan plateau is so high, there's limited oxygen up there, and pets as well as humans can get nauseous from it if you're not used to it.

In China, women normally retire at 50 if doing blue collar job or 55 years old if doing office job to get pension. Overall, it is about 52.5 years old to qualify for pension while it is 65 years old normally for western countries. Overall China people work 10 years less than most countries during a person’s life. Many retired women like to dance at public square to kill time.

Exactly.! If I'm not wrong those fish are not native to Tibet and it's hard for the fishes to adapt the environment especially in winter.
