- South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor, is visiting Washington, D.C. this week and said the Biden administration’s unwavering support for Israel’s assault on Gaza has strained relations between the two nations. VOA’s Anita Powell questioned Pandor at the South African embassy about the frosty relations as the United States is considering a law that would further inflame tensions. VOA’s Carol Van Dam reports.

This is what brought about the joining of BRICS by SA and many other countries. The US always threatens South Africa that they will take away their trade deal AGOA. AGOA is useless without South Africa, access to Africa needs infrastructure like large cargo ports, airports, extensive rail etc, how will American products reach those markets without SA? The US needs to stop this bullying, most countries are pivoting to the East because of this bullying. #FreePalestine

am south african and have lived in Johannesburg all my life. Please report the following:
1. 27000 murders a year and only 12% investigated and the crime index is worse than war torn countries
2. Bankrupt State owned enterprises due to corruption and theft by ANC resulting in huge power cuts, water cuts, damaged rail and ports.
2. The ANC has been bankrupt as they couldn't pay their previous election campaigning cost yet just after they visited Tehran and took Israel to the ICJ they paid their debt mysteriously
4. 50% unemployment and 60% poverty
5. About 7 million undocumented illegal immigrants allowed in the country (10% of the total population)
6.The ANC Government has damaged the education system to keep the population ignorant in order to stay in power
7. We only have 7mil tax payers and 20 mil people on social welfare in order for the anc to remain in power.
8. We fear that the elections won't be free and fair as the Russians and Chinese are close allies to the anc and that in the independent electoral commission, there are anc members planted in there
