Hahahahaha fuck yes! You just won the entire internet! That's EXACTLY what these new movies are! Bad at a level that would have been parody 10+ years ago!
I mean...Kraven the Hunter? The guy who actually said he hunted every dangerous animal on Earth, so wanted to take on Spider Man. Now THAT GUY is some sort of anti-hero? Good luck with that.
Here's the deal with Spider-Man. When it's at its best, Spidey is juggling three things at once: a villain, a Peter Parker problem, and a side issue like Jameson/sickness/amnesia/a stalking mercenary/etc. Spider-Man villains were tailor made for this purpose. When Spider-Man and the other two problems are missing, you are juggling one ball and no one is impressed.
Yeah and Kraven is a cool villain but as a main character his complete lack of anything approaching a realistic personality is a huge issue...he is basically "me hunt, me kill, me big big" and that isnt a good basis for a protagonist
No point in discussing who could play James Bond next. They can't make a real James Bond film in today's Hollywood culture. Even if they could find a perfect actor to play the character, they wouldn't allow him to play the James Bond we know and love. For instance, No Time to Die does not have James Bond in it. Craig played someone else in that movie.
Yup you nailed it...glad to see people in comment sections are way smarter than these fucking idiot Hollyweird clowns...but then again entertainment has always been propaganda
I unironically enjoyed morbius, I know it wasn't good, but I appreciated it playing itself completely straight without feeling the need to add quips to kill all tension like your average MCU movie.
I just watched it. It wasn't bad at all, seems this Kraven is actually the son of Kraven (aka The Last Son of Kraven). I'll probably see this but I have some low expectations.
Sorry Robert, but you missed a key point, he took the place of an already convicted convict, if you watched till the end you saw him frozen in the snow where they took a toilet break. This was then emphasized when you saw Kraven clean of a fake tattoo.
It amazes me that elsewhere on UA-cam, I'm seeing reviewers claim that this 8 Minute release is an unheard of "desperate" strategy from SONY. In reality, this strategy is a trend going back many years, of releasing the first 10 mins or so of a movie. I remember all the way back to when they did that for 'Chronicles of Riddick'.
Anyone who has seen ATJ in anything could have told you pretty early on that casting him as the stereotypical gruff "great white hunter" character was an idiotic move.
Given a choice between “Star” and character actor, I’d be a character actor. You’ll always have work. John Rhys Davies has been in some of the most iconic films ever. David Warner has worked up until he died.
@ Oh Indeed. In comedies, there’s always that one character actor who I call “reliably funny”. No matter how bad the movie or tv show is, count on them to bring it and elevate the material. Richard Ayoade is like that. The project can be a stinker, but he can come in, do that Richard Ayoade thing, and leaves, getting a good laugh out of me.
TO EACH HIS OWN! This looks FREAKING GOOD to me, none of that silly, funny, comedic garbage. Some real SERIOUS, HARDCORE COMIC BOOK ACTION. I can't wait to see this!
If the next Jane’s Bond isn’t a woman my guess is they’ll at least cast a black guy. All the stuff I’ve heard and read out of that IP over the last several years has sounded super woke so unless they’ve made a drastic turn that legendary franchise is pretty much done. Without a womanizing guy that’s oozing masculinity you’ve just got a generic spy film that’s just using the Bond name for any legitimacy.
The first what ever minutes is usually only for streaming releases. This tells me they know it won't do well and they're prepared for a digital release on new years eve.
Movie opens : a man who looks like Kraven is running through the frozen landscape being chased by some fantastic animal : a Scorpion Hawk Wolf. The camera reverses and it’s Kraven chasing the animal. They run through the Russian prison, everyone gets killed and Kraven catches up and breaks its neck. He turns around and looks at the bodies and mutters, “ useless trophies”. Draws the dead animal over his shoulders and walks off into the frozen landscape.

When I first heard that Kraven was coming out and then saw the trailer after a while, I knew automatically that it was not going to be good. This movie does not make sense at all. The trailer comes out and it immediately looks terrible. I grew up liking Kraven, The Hunter, and this movie is not it. I've grown quite tired of wasting my attention span on what passes for these sorts of films. The people running these studios are not serious.
My understanding is that if Sony doesn't release a "Spiderman" film every 5 years or so then they'll lose the rights to Spiderman. Perhaps they've figured they can release lower budget Spiderman universe films to keep the rights and make the money back on the heavy hitter films? Spiderman himself is a cash cow and they'd be foolish to give him up, but I can't make sense of these shitty films any other way.

Kraven the Hunter going out for a Subway footlong during the polar vortex and deciding not to save Jussie from the two goons that said: It's Maga Country is not a compelling story compared to Kraven's Last Hunt.
As a lady I'm telling you this is gonna be my newest guilty pleasure because A. Aaron Taylor Johnson (oof baby!) B. Aaron Taylor Johnson speaking Russian (Good Lord yes!!) and C. The action looks REDICULOUS! Comically rediculous. Hahaha

I liked it. Not really related to Kraven from the comics, but it was pretty entertaining. Compare that to the first 8 minutes of just about anything else? Its just gonna be fun action with some powers. The lead holds your attention, the action was interesting, it was not quippy and goofy.
Calling it now: they showed Kraven & Rhino’s silhouettes at the end of No Way Home & that’s how they’re going to try to tie this movie into the MCU, but the way they do it will make just as much sense as Vulture showing up in Morbius. Just another after-credits scene that leads to nowhere
All thing being fair, it feels like a strait to DVD action movie. Which isn't "bad". Someone like Scott Adkin has great straight to streaming films. It just isn't movie worth.
People really pay for one movie opposed to the monthly subscriptions, which would allow you to watch most of the new movies (personal time allowed) … just saying
I thought Sony had to keep making these so they don’t lose the film rights to those characters. I swear I read somewhere that the film rights contract stipulates that they can’t sit on these characters & if they don’t make a new film every so many years, Disney/Marvel could argue to have those film rights restored to them. If that’s the case then it makes the most sense, why spend a ton of money on these films if you only need to make them so you don’t lose those film rights. Later on you can still come up with something better but at least you still hold those film rights I could be wrong but it’s the only thing that makes sense in my brain.
