I like how in the series they play with the usual trope of a superhero's secret identity working with a newspaper company (and even noting that, as a billionaire, he doesn't need to be a janitor) and gaining information...then this:
"Yeah but, why a janitor?"
"Well, it was the only job you were qualified for"

@@eforaffort Star of Christmas is, whether intentional or not, a really good telltale of what was going on in Big Idea at around that time. You can see sort of the tensions, correlations, and even the similarities.

Well, I respectfully disagree on that comment. You can have great ambition, it's how you channel it. And where your values and financial priorities lie on. With God, all things are possible for those who know and believe God and have a personal relationship with him and how strong your relationship with God (Jesus Christ) is and putting HIM 1st above all things. Because he is the creator not you. And for he is the provider. This is the truth in all types of businesses all over the world regardless.

I will admit, a tv series based on LarryBoy does have potential
But ONLY if it’s done justice
No clue how this is in my recommendations, maybe because my son won’t stop searching “Larry boy compilation” on my phone 😂 awesome vid I’m gonna watch it with him and the wife later
Unpopular opinion:this was a better era for Larry-boy because not only where the villians not nightmare inducing but Larry boy actually saved the day and didn’t feel like filler in the last two Larry boy episode

The animation in Cartoon Adventures of Larry Boy looks really good for early Flash. It almost looks Hand Drawn.
I still find the concept of Awful Alvin’s evil dance of villainy that he does with his lamp side kick hilarious.

Yoo I wasn’t expecting Omori music in my Larryboy Analysis, sweet.
I liked the 2D series decently. Bad Apple was great, but it was a sign of things to come that made me not like LarryBoy’s vibe. In contrast to the first two episodes, Larryboy’s colors are now brighter, his shape became more round, his personality is more silly. Even little things like his plungers bounce around to match this sillier version. I always preferred the darker, more serious Larryboy that came before. Ironically though, Bad Apple was the first time he actually stopped the bad guy, so I can still appreciate his character here.
I like it. Who woulda known that LarryBoy had such a convoluted history. Take my subscription, and can't wait for part 3

@@superqubioI had many ideas for the cartoon adventures of Larry boy like sinister Simon would be launching a evil army of saddening bugs making all of the citizens of bumblyburg and it would be up to Larry boy to stop sinister simon from bringing grief to the citizens of bumblyburg and then the scare mites of thorny Theodore would also need to be stopped by larryboy too

I always loved the character designs in the Animated Adventures. I really loved the villains. Especially Greta and Alvin! It’s a shame there weren’t more episodes because they were clearly cooking.
The Larryboy cartoons always made me laugh, especially the super shorts

Bad Apple is pretty different from the first two, so I can definitely see how you could think it's the best of the three if you prefer its style.

If you wanted to be truly comprehensive in the history. Around the time of the 2D animated series there were a several short chapter books released for Larryboy. Some were even turned into episodes like the Yoddlenaper and the good the bad and the eggly. I remember this because these books were a big stepping stone for me to read chapter books as a kid

A comparison I have made between Bad Apple and the Larry-Boy episodes from the 1990s:
Fib and Rumor Weed represent the Batman films directed by Tim Burton.
Fib-Batman (1989)
Rumor Weed-Batman Returns (mostly due to the sewer scene)
Bad Apple on the other hand, the shift in tone seems comparable to the Batman films directed by the late Joel Schumacher, particularly Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

Of all the Larryboy episodes that they made, I mainly like all four of the ones that are part of the original Veggietales, I did sort of like the cartoon series a bit along with 321 penguins, but I decided that I prefer him cgi, (which I mainly like Veggietales over the other two direct-to-video shows: 321 penguins and the cartoon Larryboy). That would be of course Larryboy and the fib from outer space, Larryboy and the rumour weed, Larryboy and the bad apple and the league of incredible vegetables. Any other ones from Veggietales that are my favourites (and that I only like too) are where’s god when I’m scared, god wants me to forgive them, are you my neighbour, rack shack & Benny, Dave and the giant pickle, the toy that saved Christmas, very silly songs, Josh and the big wall, Madame blueberry, the end of silliness, king George and the ducky, Esther the girl who became queen, Lyle the kindly Viking, the ultimate silly song countdown, Jonah a Veggietales movie, the star of Christmas, the wonderful world of auto-tainment, the ballad of little Joe, an Easter carol, a snoodle’s tale, sumo of the opera, for bonus favourites Bob and Larry’s how to draw and veg-o-Rama jukebox, Duke and the great pie war, Minnesota Cuke and the search for Samson’s hairbrush, lord of the beans, Sheerluck Holmes and the golden ruler, Gideon tuba warrior, Moe and the big exit, god made you special, the pirates who don’t do anything movie, Saint Nicholas, twas the night before Easter, princess and the popstar, the penniless princess and the little house that stood.

@@superqubio Even though I dislike the choices that Mattel made for Thomas, I’m glad they bought out HIT because they deserve to have karma. In case you didn’t know, Mattel actually owned Thomas since 2013 and without them, the Brenner era wouldn’t exist.
