Alberobello, Itay. Truly an amazing Village with Cone Roof Tops. A Must See!

In the 17th century, the local rulers of the Kingdom of Naples imposed heavy taxes on permanent structures. The farmers of Alberobello, eager to avoid paying these taxes, devised a way to build homes that could be easily dismantled and reassembled. With no mortar holding the stones together, the trulli could be quickly taken apart when tax collectors arrived.
