It’s so delightful when you somehow accidentally give a horse the smile command. Just the other day when I went out to find my horse another came to say hi and look for treats. She had a branch stuck in her mane so I reached to remove it and she thought I was telling her to smile so she gave me a beautiful smile. It’s a welcome surprise, and this has happened more than once with me lol. Where I board it’s apparently a very popular trick so I’ll often have a horse in the field come up to greet me and I’ll sometimes unintentionally do the smile gesture
My horse smiles! He does it whenever I give him treats and it’s the cutest thing ever

Hello,my horse struggles with laminitis and can’t have treats a lot is their anyway I can teach her to smile without treats?

I have not tough a horse to smile without using treats. I know some people how have tough there horse to smile using a strong smelling fruit or essential oil such as a lemon or lavender oil. When the horse smells they give them some hay as a treat.

It depends on the horse. On average it takes a horse a week of doing it each day before they are consistently doing it on Cue. With that said I have had some horses pick it up in a first session.🐴❤️
I really like how she did it on a horse who doesn’t know it so it shows more of patience and how to do it♥️welp time to go attempt this and make my horse gain 10 pounds😂
