    I wouldn't be able to save customers devices if it wasn't for this channel and a couple of others, thanks for making these videos they are a god send.

    Those little arrays have caused me soo much headache that if the circuit took any sort of hit, M92T36 or P13, I change them now automatically if its one of those revisions. Common faults they cause are half charging and docking and crashing while sleeping off charger. The blue screen issue was just a theory (that didn't pan out unfortunately). Appreciate the shout out!

    Thanks a lot mate. You are a legend! I was banging my head trying to find the issue with a Switch which had the same problem. After watching your video, I replaced the same diode and it fixed the issue.

    Noted from another user the diode arrays may be used for electrostatic discharge to protect other components. they may have done their job but noted other chips still died :(

    Oh man, I have a first revision Switch. 😅
    Although I’ve had it for nearly 4 years now, and so far no issues. If any arise though, I know who to call. 🙂

    What is the purpose of the diodes? What can I expect might happen with them removed and not replaced?

    Thank you for this video. I'm trying to identify/verify the resistors below the P13USB shown on the bottom of the screen at 11:45 in your video. Would you be able to help?

  • @turpize
    @turpize 3 роки тому

    Awesome! I have searched for years to find a solution to my switch only charging in one orientation. Will try to remove the diode array and see if that fixes my problem. Or is it probable that my m92t36 is faulty as well?

  • @hannescampidell

    the diode array is for protection from fishy usb-c products it should be put on

      Haha thanks I appreciate it 😁 yeah I do them full time, not a bad way to earn a living lol. I got started mainly doing controller repairs because I had no other way to make money and then just taught myself the nitty gritty stuff lol

      Thanks, yeah I do try and keep them as short as possible but this one needed quite a lot of work to get it working properly. I generally try and keep videos around 30 minutes long if I can :)

      @@TheCod3r I want to Thank you, and My Mate Vince for showing people how to fix there stuff. You, an Vince actually gave Me the inspiration to even attempt to fix My Switch. The issues with it were that it would not display or charge on any dock, let alone charge with any Nintendo Switch charger. I would have to charge it with My Samsung cellphone charger. So I watched several videos of yours an Vince's. After that I got some confidence to attempt a M92T36 change. So I'm very happy to say today I attempted the swap of M92T36, an its fixed! I successfully changed the M92T36 chip on My Switch. It now docks, an charges fine. Thank You for being so detailed in troubleshooting an explaining step by step. This video was the one that helped Me fault find it was the M92T36 chip. Thanks again. Keep up the great work. Your a legend.
      Also I'm 100% sure it was a Nyko battery pack extender pack that caused the issue. Because after using it for about a couple of weeks I got the issues. The pack it self gave out as well after I noticed the issues on the Switch. It immediately went in the bin, recycling bin that is. An I will never be using anything other than Official Nintendo chargers from now on.
