- This was my first official trip up to Berkeley, California to start filming with Dan Drehobl for Free Your Mind. I'd already been up there to film with Rob Welsh, but this time I was staying with Dan. Even though I was only a few years younger than Rob and Dan, they seemed so much older then me. Rob and I butted heads but Dan and I got along. The China Banks session was so rad, we got to skate there for hours-Dan killed it. Looking back at these tapes reminds me how much I would drive-I would go anywhere, at any hour and skate with anyone. I dedicated such a huge part of my life to filming skateboarding, and it was just starting.-Jason Hernandez

I skated with Dan once back when he was on Think. I just remember his hands being really weird and he looked really old to me. I was maybe 18 at the time.

love living in the bay we have the best spots besides NY as far as US goes
I like Washington DC but most of the spots are dead there now and I don't go anymore since the riots started. People see you with a skateboard and just assume you're some antifa rioter person, in reality I'm extremely conservative. It's annoying and potentially dangerous to skate in many of our big cities in this day and age.

don't they call them picnic benches in California or something? I have heard that so many times. It might have something to do with the fact that a picnic table where I'm from is close to a foot higher than any I've seen in videos from Cali over the last 30 years.

last time I was at the china banks the same group of Asian men were catching flies wounding them and then flipping them off to dozens of ants to be consumed in front of crowds of other older Asian men in case anyone was wondering what all those older Asian men were crowded around about.
