I’m in tears. I remember ten years ago was my first heart break. I was so vulnerable and fragile. I didn’t understand how a heart could feel SO much pain. I came across Steven on UA-cam and he walked me through the pain! I just came back from Elevation Nights in Vancouver and it was beautiful 💕 I second this! I am nursing student and I usually get overwhelmed by my emotions. There are times where I absorb all the emotions of the people around me-patients, clinical instructors, classmates- and it gets heavy and I cannot function properly. I’ve seen many of my fellow nursing classmates be like that and my prayer is for them and everyone out there who gets easily overwhelmed by emotions. I pray that God will teach us to be in control of our own emotions, to truly take a step back and seek God before reacting.
Being a nursing student is so hard- I’ve been there! I would have been way better off if I had Jesus during that time in my life. You are even more equipped to get through this with him!

I pray that he reveals the tools to manage your emotions. Something cool is challenging the negative thought with cognitive dissonance. Like what exactly is this thought? Am i catastrophizing? Am I making this bigger than this is? Just a line of thoughts to start questioning yourself and then going to the Bible. Proverbs is a good book for wisdom and guidance! 💗🌷

I am very new to Christianity, but I've dove head first. Reading my Bible, listening to podcasts, journaling, and praying constantly. I'm a waitress and I work very hard. Last night and older man came in with a party of 10 , I'm not sure what it was about this man but he seemed so nice and pure. I check him out and the bill is $600 and he tipped me $581. I immediately cried and thanked him so many times but he doesn't understand what that did for me, and how much I needed that. Please pray over this man!❤ Thank you Jesus 🙏🏼

Something I learned in therapy about dealing with emotions: learn to observe them-pay attention to everything that comes to your mind. Be aware of everything you’re feeling. Like you’re a ghost hovering over your own body. By being aware of everything you’re feeling, you can tell yourself to stop thoughts you don’t want to entertain, and purposely entertain the good thoughts that come to your mind. It’s as this one verse says: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.” Philippians 4:8 NIV

If you store His commands and search for His truth like a hidden treasure, use your ears to listen to His wisdom, His voice, and your heart to stay softened so you can understand, you will find Him. That’s what I got out of proverbs 2.

Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today I receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas CA and travel alot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me.
After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom.

Ladies, Thank you so very much for this episode. This came right at a time when I needed to hear this the most. I am currently going through that storm right now due to my disobedience. I lost the person that meant the most to me after 5 years of pouring everything I had into that relationship. I have been diving into scripture, prayer,fasting,church & community with my brothers & sisters in Christ. I've even found my version of Mt Carmel where I go to be alone with God like Elijah did. In the last week, I've had so much confirmation from the Holy Spirit of certain things as to why they happened & what to do on these things. Yet even still, sometimes my emotions get ahold of me & it feels overwhelming, so your advice here has been received with much love & thanks. What has given me hope recently is what you mentioned about Abraham & Isaac. Trusting in God & his faithfulness to give up my Isaac for the good God has told me he has planned for me. Another beacon of hope is actually the story of Jonah. That God gave Jonah a word to go to Nineveh, but because it wasn't something Jonah wanted to do, he disobeyed & went to Tarshish. Jonah suffered the consequences, then prayed to get right with God. Then, the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time. Our God is a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in mercy. He gives us second chances to do right. Ladies again, thank you for your platform and the love you share with all of us. I am currently going through a deep heartbreak with my ex of many years and I started listening to your podcast a couple of weeks ago. I feel a lot better, my anxiety and other negative emotions fade away the more I listen to you sharing the word of God. I am only 18 and I struggle with many things but building my relationship with God again has been giving me lots of hope. When two years ago I was very mad at god instead. I need prayer for my overwhelming emotions and the trauma I hold so deep within my body. Please pray that God shows me his will for my life and that I can step into that with confidence. Please pray that he makes it clear to me whether or not to go through this process with a therapist🩵
I’m praying for you. I also have experienced trauma and finding a Christian therapist has helped me grow despite what I’ve experienced and has helped build my faith. I encourage you to seek Christ and to seek help by those used by Christ to help us in these areas. Seeking help isn’t a sign of weak faith it’s a sign of wisdom and faith in Christ to provide.

You're right in saying that we seek to earn God's trust by being faithful, obedient, and aligning our lives with His will. God, on the other hand, does not need to earn our trust because He is perfect, unchanging, and always faithful. Trust in God is based on His unshakable nature, His promises, and His proven faithfulness throughout Scripture. Our relationship with God involves surrendering our will to Him and trusting in His perfect plan, knowing that He always keeps His promises. This topic has been something that the past month I’ve definitely struggled with. It’s felt like satan has constantly tried to make me feel depressed with his lies. I know that God defines my thoughts and life to I started to memorize scripture and quote it whenever my mind is attacked. I’ve suddenly lost my studies due to a failed exam, and this has had a ripple effect on basically every aspect of my life. I’m going through an existential and financial crisis right now, and there’s literally no one to turn to but the Lord. He has been my only shelter and hope. I know He’s going to make a way where there seems to be no way and that He’s testing my faith right now, but it’s not easy. Being 30 almost 31 and single coming out of a 3 year relationship it was so good to hear Ari remind us that we are in this single season for a reason and there are so many things that we can count as blessings during this season. Honestly I know how you feel. My mom is kind of in that situation right now as well. She married a man she thought was a man of God and ended up having a family with him (that being my dad). His true colors started to show and turns out, he was just into going to church, reading the Bible etc. only because he wanted to please my mom, not because he wanted to build a relationship with God for himself. Them being unequally yoked bled into me and my sister. We grew up very lukewarm Cristians, with really only my mom being a true Christ follower. I’m 20 and I just recently gave my life to Christ, just this past Monday, by myself, just me and God, it didn’t even happen at church the day before. The Holy Spirit revealed itself within me and now I’m ready to surrender to the Lord. My mom used to think she failed her family, but here I am at 20, finally giving my life to Christ. My sister, age 17, still doesn’t understand that Jesus is the only way, but we won’t give up on her. As for my dad, he needs lots of work/prayer too. I say this to hopefully help encourage you to not feel hopeless and feel like you didn’t lead your family the right way. My mom felt that way, but one of her daughters is now a dedicated Christ follower, after 20 years of life. I’m sure your family will start to get there too. Don’t lose hope ! Also, I prayed for you !

I am nursing student and I usually get overwhelmed by my emotions. There are times where I absorb all the emotions of the people around me-patients, clinical instructors, classmates- and it gets heavy and I cannot function properly. I’ve seen many of my fellow nursing classmates be like that and my prayer is for them and everyone out there who gets easily overwhelmed by emotions. I pray that God will teach us to be in control of our own emotions, to truly take a step back and seek God before reacting.

I am very new to Christianity, but I've dove head first. Reading my Bible, listening to podcasts, journaling, and praying constantly. I'm a waitress and I work very hard. Last night and older man came in with a party of 10 , I'm not sure what it was about this man but he seemed so nice and pure. I check him out and the bill is $600 and he tipped me $581. Something I learned in therapy about dealing with emotions: learn to observe them-pay attention to everything that comes to your mind. Be aware of everything you’re feeling. Like you’re a ghost hovering over your own body. By being aware of everything you’re feeling, you can tell yourself to stop thoughts you don’t want to entertain, and purposely entertain the good thoughts that come to your mind.
It’s as this one verse says: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.”

If you store His commands and search for His truth like a hidden treasure, use your ears to listen to His wisdom, His voice, and your heart to stay softened so you can understand, you will find Him.

This is exactly what I have been praying about. Last night I decided to fast from social media. Talked to God about it - not happy but I agreed (other than YT this is where I watch my sermons and podcasts). Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today I receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas CA and travel alot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me.

Thank you so very much for this episode. This came right at a time when I needed to hear this the most. I am currently going through that storm right now due to my disobedience. I lost the person that meant the most to me after 5 years of pouring everything I had into that relationship. I have been diving into scripture, prayer,fasting,church & community with my brothers & sisters in Christ. I've even found my version of Mt Carmel where I go to be alone with God like Elijah did. In the last week, I've had so much confirmation from the Holy Spirit of certain things as to why they happened & what to do on these things. Yet even still, sometimes my emotions get ahold of me & it feels overwhelming, so your advice here has been received with much love & thanks. What has given me hope recently is what you mentioned about Abraham & Isaac. Trusting in God & his faithfulness to give up my Isaac for the good God has told me he has planned for me. Another beacon of hope is actually the story of Jonah. That God gave Jonah a word to go to Nineveh, but because it wasn't something Jonah wanted to do, he disobeyed & went to Tarshish. Jonah suffered the consequences, then prayed to get right with God. Then, the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time. Our God is a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in mercy. He gives us second chances to do right.

I am currently going through a deep heartbreak with my ex of many years and I started listening to your podcast a couple of weeks ago. I feel a lot better, my anxiety and other negative emotions fade away the more I listen to you sharing the word of God. I am only 18 and I struggle with many things but building my relationship with God again has been giving me lots of hope. When two years ago I was very mad at god instead. I’m praying for you. I also have experienced trauma and finding a Christian therapist has helped me grow despite what I’ve experienced and has helped build my faith. I encourage you to seek Christ and to seek help by those used by Christ to help us in these areas. Seeking help isn’t a sign of weak faith it’s a sign of wisdom and faith in Christ to provide.

You're right in saying that we seek to earn God's trust by being faithful, obedient, and aligning our lives with His will. God, on the other hand, does not need to earn our trust because He is perfect, unchanging, and always faithful. Trust in God is based on His unshakable nature, His promises, and His proven faithfulness throughout Scripture.
Our relationship with God involves surrendering our will to Him and trusting in His perfect plan, knowing that He always keeps His promises. So while we grow in trust toward God, it's more about us learning to fully rely on Him, rather than Him needing to prove anything to us.

This topic has been something that the past month I’ve definitely struggled with. It’s felt like satan has constantly tried to make me feel depressed with his lies. I know that God defines my thoughts and life to I started to memorize scripture and quote it whenever my mind is attacked. I’ve suddenly lost my studies due to a failed exam, and this has had a ripple effect on basically every aspect of my life. I’m going through an existential and financial crisis right now, and there’s literally no one to turn to but the Lord. He has been my only shelter and hope. I know He’s going to make a way where there seems to be no way and that He’s testing my faith right now, but it’s not easy. Being 30 almost 31 and single coming out of a 3 year relationship it was so good to hear Ari remind us that we are in this single season for a reason and there are so many things that we can count as blessings during this season. Although it is hard seeing everyone around us get married and have kids, they all have their own battles they are fighting that we don’t have to because we are single. Honestly I know how you feel. My mom is kind of in that situation right now as well. She married a man she thought was a man of God and ended up having a family with him (that being my dad). His true colors started to show and turns out, he was just into going to church, reading the Bible etc. only because he wanted to please my mom, not because he wanted to build a relationship with God for himself. Them being unequally yoked bled into me and my sister. We grew up very lukewarm Cristians, with really only my mom being a true Christ follower. I’m 20 and I just recently gave my life to Christ, just this past Monday, by myself, just me and God, it didn’t even happen at church the day before. The Holy Spirit revealed itself within me and now I’m ready to surrender to the Lord. My mom used to think she failed her family, but here I am at 20, finally giving my life to Christ. My sister, age 17, still doesn’t understand that Jesus is the only way, but we won’t give up on her. As for my dad, he needs lots of work/prayer too. I say this to hopefully help encourage you to not feel hopeless and feel like you didn’t lead your family the right way. My mom felt that way, but one of her daughters is now a dedicated Christ follower, after 20 years of life. I’m sure your family will start to get there too. Don’t lose hope ! Also, I prayed for you !
