I was curious about how the top attached, so this video was perfect. That said, I'm glad people like you exist. The plastic probably wouldn't have bothered me, but you being particular will help others with their purchase and afterward.
Thank you very much for doing a review of this workbench. I've been looking for ANY videos on this model and the only other one out there sucks. This one is much more informative.
I got an answer for your mystery drawer "never bent the same way" tabs. They are installed and used for the paint line during manufacturing. I just bought an 84" HD Husky from Home Depot. Every tab has a small paint imperfection in the hole at the 12 o'clock position. The wire they hang from during spray paint leaves the imperfection. Thought you might like to know.
Absolutely, people should consider Harbor Freight. I just don't think they had an 84" chest at the time. The options were Husky or something crazy-expensive.
I read where the drawers are not reconfigurable, did you happen notice how the slides attach to the frame? Can they be moved easily? I would like to flip the 3 thin with the single deeper.
I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that one. I would look, but the drawers are now full of tools and quite heavy. Maybe take a look at a smaller-but-similar model at the store? Sorry I can't be more help.
Home Depot has the worst delivery I've EVER seen. Not only have my deliveries never been on time, but they always hire some guys that look like they're sitting in a parking lot waiting for work and with ZERO delivery knowledge. From now, I drive my trailer to the store and have them load it.
I always seem to get the defective one of whatever I'm buying. Glad to hear yours was better. The Husky tool chest is a really good value, if you can just buy it and start using it without issues.
Can't argue with that. But I would have had to pay more too. Everyone can make their own decision - I'm just providing more information so people know what they're getting. Thanks for the comment!
@@WorkinOnIt absolutely. Everyone’s needs are different. I’m a mechanic so I’m very rough on things. I was actually thinking about getting this for my transmission building tools but after seeing the quality I think I’ll just get another 4s from matco.

Thanks for the comment! It's gratifying to know that some people have found this review to be helpful. Cheers!

I'm really glad that you found it helpful. It's a major purchase, so it's best to go in with your eyes wide open.

Thanks, you're right, I would like to know! Makes sense.

Hey I’m thinking about getting the 96” version. After a year of ownership do you still recommend buying the tool box?
Thanks for the review!
Great review. Thank you.

GEEZ man those are not cheap. Sorry you had to go through all that. I got mine in perfect condition.

You’d have been a lot happier buying a higher quality box
