I chuckled when you said the pump was 'a bit disgusting'. 😂 That was more like horrendous. I've seen some dirty pumps throughout my 50+ years of keeping koi but can't recall anything that bad, Glad it was just muck and nothing more serious. Pump looked brand new following the jet wash. Fish definitely look more active with the increase in water flow. Cheers.
Yeah it was but most pumps would have given up ages ago rather than trying to pump in all that muck that's why i like them ones so much, yeah the fish really like the flow to be maintained but it's understandable as they produce a lot a muck.
Fantastic video pal great content that helps , just a quick question too how deep did you have concrete under large pond also did you hard core first ,
The concrete under main pond is 2 ft thick but only because its also the foundation for the building and it made it easier doing it like that it does not need to be so thick. On a normal pond build i would dig out to bed rock do a few inches of compacted hardcore and at least 6 inch of concrete. that still might be a bit overkill but it makes for a good solid floor you know will never crack.
@@AdamJulyan thanks pal , just to pick your brains , I’m digging a 12ft x12 ft and 8 ft deep pond we hit compacted clay at 3 ft I was going to just put 1 ft of concrete with two layers of bar would you still use hardcore pal ? Just been trying to find your build of your main pond , do you have a link at all , I actually only wanted a pond so deep after seeing yours , I have had quite a few people try to put me off going so deep one person has told me that the fish suffer with problems due to pressure at the bottom, any thoughts, obviously yours look fantastic which is why I decided to go deep
Good video, Adam! What a mucky job but glad the fish are happier. As you're one tank down will you be getting another to replace it? Will you video that! Thanks.
it can cause issues it's best to get rid of it i do clean out the other pipe lines but i can't get to that one without removing the pump so it doesn't get done as often.
it depends on the pump ive had loads of trouble with new pumps that's why i like these ones so much still running with all that much in there is quite impressive really.
That's some serious pond snot. Makes me wonder about the state of mine. Keep em coming, Adam.
Just a little bit mucky down there lol 😂
Great video Adam , the joys of koi keeping 👍
Nice bit of muck out of there, always get a sense of satisfaction when the pipes are cleaned out😀
Always enjoy your videos Adam 👍 It's amazing the stocking levels you can run with the correct filtration and flow rate.
Thanks 😊. Yeah they are happy in that tank but it is getting a bit silly they could do with more room and sunlight.
Wow the amount of muck that came out of those pipes 😳 I thinks ill be buying a pipe cleaner like yours 👍 great job 😊👍

Nice to have you back Adam.
One could say that the pump was bricked up in multiple ways. Nice.
it's one of the reasons i love those pumps they run no matter what.
Another dirty video,,,,, but I enjoyed it, fish look livery.

yeah i might get a new tank I've not worked out a plan yet but if i do ill make a video on it 😊
You must have a great basement and all set up for your pond mate and great update but wouldn't that cause bacterial issues with all that poo

A bit mucky..looks like cold gravy
I thought you were running a superfish eco plus 15000 rc pump on that tank??
I did for a bit but I had the 13,000 performance pump not doing anything so i put it on instead and used the superfish on my other tanks.
@@AdamJulyan ah fair enough, thought you'd decided against it and not told us, I bought one on your recommendation 😄
Make more video ha
holy shit
And I though my pumps got mucky WOW thats seriously caked on.
Hi mate. Is that system pumped from the bottom drain? Or pumped back to pond after the drum filter.
Its gravity to drum and pump return.
@@AdamJulyan wow and still so much crap in the pipes. I must get myself a pipe rod
My 13000 pump has gone really slow everything is clean and still slow couldn’t figure it out so had to buy a new pump
it depends on the pump ive had loads of trouble with new pumps that's why i like these ones so much still running with all that much in there is quite impressive really.
Adam where did you get that reverse jet and hose?
I got one I think it was Aldi (or Lidl?)
I got it from ALDI when they have the pressure washers in spring they usually have those jet hoses
That was a little mucky. Dread to think what your Electric bill is
Yeah it is pretty dirty
Ive seen worse 😊
🤢 👍
