Nice color! My first Precision bass is a 2014 American Standard in that very same color ... my current #1 ... Such a classic look. Congrats (1 year late!). Cheers!!!
Man soooooo glad you are still around, i got back to playing sax but still love THE BASS, AND your channel is always THE BEST! Freakin stoked you are still doing it!
@@thegreatboppilini9006 I took it down because many people couldn't understand that it was supposed to be a joke and I didn't want to deal with the trolling anymore.
@@DarrenLikesDanger that video was gold back in the day, I'd kill for a reupload maybe with disabled comments? Thank you for explaining something you didn't have to.
I am very glad that I watched this video. I was on the fence to buy one, now I just fell off that fence. too much money for junk. not worth the risk, thanks!
Hey man, i have been following your channel for over a decade now and just realized that you may have been "the guy from the video" that made me start getting into bass after thinking about it for a while. have you ever had some tutorial stuff on bass up? i am looking for that video so much. was a guy drinking pabst blue ribbon and said something like "you must hold your bass like gozilla spraying fire" or something like that. is that you maybe? :D regards!
Haha yes that was me. Unfortunately I finally had to take down those videos because so many people didn’t get the joke. I was getting trolled by angry Karens for years. Anyway thanks for the support and keep rocking!
Not the first video I have seen with issues on that bass or other USA Fender guitars. I have decided to build one from a kit with 1 piece mahogany body, a roasted maple neck with stainless frets on rosewood no inlays and luminlay side markers. I will just do a natural oil rub finish on it and a wood or leather covered pickguard.
I was looking to buy a P bass and since this was going to be my 3rd bass, I took my time to look for one that I liked. Every time I tried the American pro 2s, I kept finding issues. The Mexican ones never seemed to have those issues. Last week I picked up a player ll P bass and have been happy.
Wow!! That's awesome!! Looks like you posted your comment 4 months ago.. So now that you've had it for a while, what's your opinions on it? (If you don't mind sharing lol) I have a 2001 American Fender Hot Rod PJ-BASS... Which is unbelievable.. I've been curious about these Pro 2 Basses.. I'm pretty sure I'll eventually get one as well.. 🤘
" LOVE " your honesty ! Fender Qyality Control should be ashamed, better yet replaced. Note: Failed Americian business strategy: Save a nickel ( By being cheap ) lose a dollar ( Lose sales then go bankrupt ).
I have this exact model bass. 2 weeks before I bought an Am Pro 2 P in Dark Night with the rosewood fretboard. Honestly i have other cheaper basses i like better

You're a funny bugger, Darren. Good to see you, and nice to see you have treated yourself to something nice. That is a sweet looking P Bass.
Thamks man! Hope you're well
This just popped up in my feed. I ordered one from sweetwater too and it arrived Sunday with perfect action and it plays like butter.
Nice! They really did a good job on mine

He’s back and better than ever. More content!!!

Very nice man Congrats!! Sounds as good as it looks too!! 🤘
you're a good dude man, and I like your playing, peace brother
Awesome, congratulations!
Just picked one up today for $700. He bought it during the pandemic thinking he would learn it but lost interest quick and sat the case in his garage.

It’s resonate I wonder what’s the weight of the overall bass
Great Bass
SWEET … 😄
Yes but how does it sound with slap?
Beauty. What make flats are those? Sounds great.
Fender light gauge flats. They’re great.
How do you like it?

What kind of flatwounds are you using? I've been playing for about 12 years, and I've never tried them before so I'm curious.
I use fender stainless steel light gauge flats. They changed my life. They have to be light gauge though. That’s very important.
What happened to your Mexican P Bass ?
Nothing. I still have it.
