I’d blame the sword. If he had activated the safety lock on the zords weapon system, Tommy wouldn’t have died. Personality I think Tommy would’ve had a better chance winning with the Dragonzord, with its bulk and more variety of weapons and impressive strength. Heck the Dragonzord even beat the White Tiger Zord, which is it’s supposed better.
My favorite thing to imagine about this is that when he yells, “I’ll break your face”, the speaker system wasn’t active. You could hear him raw through the mech

Indiana Jones vs. Captain Jack Sparrow. It might sound boring at first, but both characters make amazing use of their environments through quick thinking and improvisation, and that could bring an element to Death Battle that it hasn't seen much of yet.
Ian Halterman I disagree. I think it's more about finding ways to utilize any environment than being adept in certain ones. Also, the fight could transition between various ones, as Jack tries to obtain a mystical artifact that could make him immortal, and Indy tries to protect it by transporting it to a museum.
Ian Halterman I guess you're right--though no two temples are alike. I hope if they make the fight that it'll be a vast skirmish across an island in which Jack wants an artifact to become immortal, and Indy wants to transport it to a safe location where it can't be misused. Indy tries to reason with Jack, but Jack's seen enough black magic that he thinks he can handle any possible repercussions. They'll encounter traps and natives and we'll get to enjoy seeing them interact and bounce their personalities against one another; at least once, they'll be forced to work together. Also, I'd like to see Indy crash a plane into the Black Pearl (both fighters abandoning their respective ships in time, of course, because the fight should be decided man-to-man). The fight will end in a way that allows the viewers respect both men (on some level), and the victor will wish it didn't have to end in death. ... Make it happen, Screw Attack!

He's as far above the three creators of his own omniverse as they are above mortals and not even weapons that can kill that which cannot be killed can hurt him. You know, because you'd have to kill Masaki Kajishima _irl_ in order to kill Tenchi Masaki and, as it happens, Demonbane can't do that. Because Demonbane is completely fictional, and fictional beings of any and all power levels have a surprisingly laughable win/lose streak against non-fictional people... On the other hand, Tenchi can materialize Light Hawk Wings, above mentioned weapons that can kill the unkillable, at will to kill Demonbane with and entire dimensions callapse in on themselves simply by him existing. Not by him actively destroying them or even sleeping and dreaming about them popping, but simply because he's in any at all way "there" they give up the ghost... Sssooo yeah, Demonbane goes buh-bye and Masaki Kajishima wins the prize for most OP manga/anime character _ever_. (Which, imo, is an award one should be ashamed of winning, because God-mode Sue characters like Demonbane and Tenchi SUCKS and authors who write characters like them suck just as hard for being such try-hards that they cannot write characters who have actual weaknessess and flaws. Seriously, when an author writes a character like that, s/he's just having a dick meassurement competition with other franchises. "Oooh, how can I make my main character stronger than Goku?" Speaking of Samurai, there was the "harmonium" which was obviously a shamisen. First of all, harmoniums look exactly NOTHING like a shamisen. They have more in common with pianos ffs. If they didn't want to just call it what it is, why go with an equally esoteric instrument that looks nothing like it instead of something similar? Just call it a damn guitar or something!
We only got the Eypon Gundam, Burning Gundam in DBX, and the OG Gundam. There are so many Gundams out there that are willing to be part of Death Battle and they are not giving them a chance. I want to see a Reset all life Death Battle with the Turn-A Gundam.

SynsterFear Epyon wouldn't have a need to transform into the MA Mode when fighting something with speed as slow as a Zord. Before you say that the TigerZord can copy the moves of the pilot at real time (as stated in the video), the Zords' designs have the armor restrict the movements and thus speed of the mech.
This Death Battle has left me EXTREMELY conflicted. I believe the Gundam Epyon is ridicously more powerful than the Mega White Tiger Zord. However, Tiger Zord's ability to mimic Tommy is it's top tier advantage. This is the biggest factor of the fight as a whole. Zechs Merquise is a normal human, he doesn't have the reaction time nor response time that Tommy has as the White Ranger. Even since the original season, we know the Power Rangers's abilities such as endurance, reaction time, speed, and power are buffed, even to people who can barely even fight or lacking martial arts talent such as Billy (the blue ranger). This cannot be denied. Also, I don't believe the whole morphing grid shared power nonsense Death Battle mentioned. Let's think for a moment shall we? If all the power Rangers can share the same abilities and powers of all the other Power Ranger teams, then what was the point of "SUPER MEGAFORCE"? That team of Rangers transform into other Ranger teams to take advantage of other ranger team's unique abilities and buffs. So the whole strength feat shown given to Tommy has to be bull. Usually, the buffs given to a certain rangers are also distributed to members of the "same team". Not 100% sure if Kimberly's (Pink Ranger)'s speed-boost is exclusive to her, but since Tommy was also the White Ranger/White Ninja Ranger from the same team, it's safe to assume he shares this ability too. Not to mention, the white Ranger was created as MORE powerful than the others from his team so it's not a stretch to believe he can match Pink Ranger's speed or top it. Again, it's assumption "NOT FACT", but for argument's sake let's say Tommy gets the same speed buff as the Pink Ranger. So with that logic, with Tommy's reaction speed, there is no way Merquise would even tag Tommy, even if Merquise is a better pilot. However, Tommy doesn't need piloting skills when he has the Zord mimic his movements as if he were fighting in person. Tommy's reaction speed also makes him more of a threat since he can make dire decisions, such as dodging and attacking, MUCH more quickly and efficiently than an average person (Zechs). So, that final slash should've never landed. Tommy would've reacted and dodge, not take the hit. If a normal human piloted the Zord, I believe White Tiger Zord (& MEGA) would get ultra curb-stomped by Gundam Epyon. However, the argument here is that Tommy is piloting it and the Zord benefits from Tommy's White Ranger superhuman speed... Even if Zechs could predict some of Tommy's attacks and strategies with Epyon system, I don't think he could outrun or outmaneuver Tommy in time. If Gundam Epyon has to win, it has to be done in a more convincing matter such as a wide range explosion from his slash or something Tommy can't escape from. Otherwise, White Ranger is battling like he is in person, so there's no reason for him to get finished or defeated like that. I dunno, not feeling the outcome.

Not to be one of the fanboys arguing against the video, but doesn't the Zero system or whatever just take info from the battle to predict? Kind of confused me how it would know about the Final Zord thing if they hadn't encountered each other before.
It could have been that it somehow "realized" that the tigerzord design was meant to be conectable with some outher components, and it show an estimation of what it would be like, hence that it just show a sillouette (how the hell is that word suposed to be spelled?), the fact that it was the actuall silouette was just for simplicity of the animation.
I thought that too, but the Tigerzord didn't show any hint about being able to connect with the other Zords. He just looked like a big robot the entire time the Gundam guy was within viewing distance. I don't know, it just seemed kind of strange.
keep in mind that the epyon system could make a more indept analizis than what it seems just by looking, I don't know if you have watched the series but it is shown that at times people can get some structural analizis of the suits wiithout ever coming in contact with them. maybe the system just pick some small hint that it was the case, and it relayed the possibility to the pilot, after all, the system's main purpose is to predict possible outcomes so that the pilot has an advantage
The Zero System take information from battle that is going on to give all prediction of all possible move to make while the Epyon System take information from battle that is going on to give prediction of all possible future event/move to make. All in all it almost the same system but use to relay information differently that why whoever use Gundam Zero or Epyon go insane.
The Zero System is basically a computerized ESP system, literally. If you're familiar with the original 'Main' Gundam series/timeline... the Zero System is pretty much a computerized Newtype.
8:22 That's an understatement. The Tallgeese could pull 15 Gs. Usually, the quicker the acceleration, the quicker the top speed. Wing Zero and Eypon are supposed to be even faster than the Tallgeese.
Compared to what we often see with other Gundam's, 15Gs is nothing. The Victory(Later UC) could get up to relativistic speeds, and the Victory II could outright GET to lightspeed.
"The Tigerzord must be able to keep up with him" ...despite never showing any sign whatsoever of reacting that fast in the TV series. You made an assumption, and that assumption was the only thing that made the Tigerzord even remotely competitive. Just for reference, Gundam beam sabers are not lasers. They are megaparticle weapons. In other words, they are contained particle beams, and don't just cut using intense heat like a laser. Contact from one is like a diamond-coated cutting disk rotating at a speeds approaching that of light, or a sand blaster tossing grit at about the same velocity. Same for beam guns and cannon. There's a reason why armored shields in Gundam rarely last for more than one or two hits. Plus, in classic Gundam, there was enough particle scatter from beam gun fire that a near miss was enough to boil away armor from the target. The beam didn't even have to hit directly to ruin someone's day. In the death battles I've seen so far, Gundam weaponry has been severely underrated.
You know what the best part of this whole thing is? It perfectly captures how completely unapologetic the Power Rangers are about the thousands of people they kill every time the haphazardly throw something through a down town building, and the emotional bull ****** of Gundam.
Actually, that's in the rules of Death Battle. Morals or characteristics of certain characters that prevent them from murdering others are ignored for the sake of the death battle.

Do you only watch newer gundam or something ? Go watch/read something from Universal Century, like Blue Destiny or Gundam The Origin. Even École du Ciel is still closer to what gundam actually is than those newer teenager crap. Describing those older one as emotional bullshit is like saying that WWII movies are bullshit soap opera. People would die and the atmostphere would still subtlely make you feel sad without anybody busy fighting for their life break down and start crying "Wah! Wah! I can't save them wah!"

I think Aang would win since in his prime he mastered the Avatar State. That gave him access to all of his past lives experience and boosted his own bending skills to OP levels.
A couple problems with using Captain Planet in a death battle: 1. As far as I can remember, CP has never overcome his weakness to pollution without outside help, which is not allowed. 2. Any thematically appropriate opponent for him (such as Aang) Would likely not be able to attack with anything besides the elements WHICH WILL HEAL HIM.
Funnily enough, this matchup makes sense. They’re the very best one could make their designs. Remember, the other five Gundams of that time were build by a coalition of underfunded and undersupplied colonies, while Epyon was built with everything in stock so it could be made the pinnacle of Gundam tech at that time. And the White TigerZord was going to show up the entire line of Thunderzords on its own.
GimpedLoco Though Dragonzord needs to avoid roaring, Kiryu goes berserk and fights like his organic counterpart. Plus Kiryu is one of the few foes Godzilla fought to a draw.
That was a one off and it only worked due to the Godzilla connection, that problem was swiftly removed via coding- any other creature roaring would be the same as someone speaking another language lol

Well, maybe yes, but I wanna see them fighting on Death Battle, and Asura would put a hard fight agains Kratos, because Asura is also known as God of Wrath, and every time he got angry, more power he get. He killed a God world-sized, with one hit in his finger... I just wanna see them fightin there..
Luiz Gustavo asura (mostly in destroyer form) is probably physically the strongest video game character I have ever seen and I have played aloooooot of video games he also out classes mist anime and comic book characters so putting him up against anyone he usually wins so a no limits asura beats pretty much every body that relies on any kind of physical fighting. That being said normal six armed asura is still a major stomp against most because he was able to beat that sword guy who's name I can't remember and that guy flicked an elephant with his thumb. So yes he beats dante and kratos (and I'm an extreme dante fan). Dante would beat kratos though

Yes, Gundam is OP and people expected it to win. However, I'd bet that the majority of viewers thought Epyon would win, but hoped Tigerzord would win instead. I'm seriously impressed the Tigerzord had those abilities.

not even, the original RX 78-2 gundam was able to learn from each battle, exponentially getting stronger, the only reason it ever was destroyed is because is it was immobilised by the first brain controlled mobile suit, and the fortress they were in exploded.

I’d blame the sword. If he had activated the safety lock on the zords weapon system, Tommy wouldn’t have died. Personality I think Tommy would’ve had a better chance winning with the Dragonzord, with its bulk and more variety of weapons and impressive strength. Heck the Dragonzord even beat the White Tiger Zord, which is it’s supposed better.

I disagree. I think it's more about finding ways to utilize any environment than being adept in certain ones. Also, the fight could transition between various ones, as Jack tries to obtain a mystical artifact that could make him immortal, and Indy tries to protect it by transporting it to a museum.

I hope if they make the fight that it'll be a vast skirmish across an island in which Jack wants an artifact to become immortal, and Indy wants to transport it to a safe location where it can't be misused. Indy tries to reason with Jack, but Jack's seen enough black magic that he thinks he can handle any possible repercussions. They'll encounter traps and natives and we'll get to enjoy seeing them interact and bounce their personalities against one another; at least once, they'll be forced to work together. Also, I'd like to see Indy crash a plane into the Black Pearl (both fighters abandoning their respective ships in time, of course, because the fight should be decided man-to-man). The fight will end in a way that allows the viewers respect both men (on some level), and the victor will wish it didn't have to end in death.

He's as far above the three creators of his own omniverse as they are above mortals and not even weapons that can kill that which cannot be killed can hurt him. You know, because you'd have to kill Masaki Kajishima _irl_ in order to kill Tenchi Masaki and, as it happens, Demonbane can't do that. Because Demonbane is completely fictional, and fictional beings of any and all power levels have a surprisingly laughable win/lose streak against non-fictional people... SynsterFear Epyon wouldn't have a need to transform into the MA Mode when fighting something with speed as slow as a Zord. Before you say that the TigerZord can copy the moves of the pilot at real time (as stated in the video), the Zords' designs have the armor restrict the movements and thus speed of the mech.
why would I mention the tiger zord's abilities? All im wondering is why they didn't mention his transformation in the list of abilities.

This Death Battle has left me EXTREMELY conflicted.
I believe the Gundam Epyon is ridicously more powerful than the Mega White Tiger Zord. However, Tiger Zord's ability to mimic Tommy is it's top tier advantage. This is the biggest factor of the fight as a whole.
Zechs Merquise is a normal human, he doesn't have the reaction time nor response time that Tommy has as the White Ranger.
Even since the original season, we know the Power Rangers's abilities such as endurance, reaction time, speed, and power are buffed, even to people who can barely even fight or lacking martial arts talent such as Billy (the blue ranger). This cannot be denied.
Also, I don't believe the whole morphing grid shared power nonsense Death Battle mentioned. Let's think for a moment shall we? If all the power Rangers can share the same abilities and powers of all the other Power Ranger teams, then what was the point of "SUPER MEGAFORCE"? That team of Rangers transform into other Ranger teams to take advantage of other ranger team's unique abilities and buffs. So the whole strength feat shown given to Tommy has to be bull.
Usually, the buffs given to a certain rangers are also distributed to members of the "same team". Not 100% sure if Kimberly's (Pink Ranger)'s speed-boost is exclusive to her, but since Tommy was also the White Ranger/White Ninja Ranger from the same team, it's safe to assume he shares this ability too. Not to mention, the white Ranger was created as MORE powerful than the others from his team so it's not a stretch to believe he can match Pink Ranger's speed or top it. Again, it's assumption "NOT FACT", but for argument's sake let's say Tommy gets the same speed buff as the Pink Ranger.
So with that logic, with Tommy's reaction speed, there is no way Merquise would even tag Tommy, even if Merquise is a better pilot. However, Tommy doesn't need piloting skills when he has the Zord mimic his movements as if he were fighting in person. Tommy's reaction speed also makes him more of a threat since he can make dire decisions, such as dodging and attacking, MUCH more quickly and efficiently than an average person (Zechs). So, that final slash should've never landed. Tommy would've reacted and dodge, not take the hit.
If a normal human piloted the Zord, I believe White Tiger Zord (& MEGA) would get ultra curb-stomped by Gundam Epyon. However, the argument here is that Tommy is piloting it and the Zord benefits from Tommy's White Ranger superhuman speed... Even if Zechs could predict some of Tommy's attacks and strategies with Epyon system, I don't think he could outrun or outmaneuver Tommy in time.
If Gundam Epyon has to win, it has to be done in a more convincing matter such as a wide range explosion from his slash or something Tommy can't escape from. Otherwise, White Ranger is battling like he is in person, so there's no reason for him to get finished or defeated like that.

Considering white Tiger Zord is mimicking Tommy, his speed DOES have something to do with the Zord's capabilities. If Tommy mimics dodging, the Tiger Zord has to do so, if Tommy is blocking or attacking, the Zord has to do so, in REAL time. Tommy's real time action affects the Zord's performance. This is reflected in the show and the Death Battle. So you're absolutely wrong here.
Tommy has FASTER reflexes because he is a Power Ranger, and those stats are attributed to the Zord.

See the flaw in this logic is that Marquise has never dealt with someone who reacts 3.5 times as fast as Tommy. Even if Merquise predicts Tommy, Tommy is fast enough to counter back. Precious seconds are minutes to Tommy. Predicting will only get you so far in the long run. Also, speed kills? All Zechs did was boost dodge and took a moment to slice the Zord. From 17:27 you can see Zechs stop to lift up his sword before landing the final strike. Are you telling me Tommy would just sit there in the cockpit and take the attack? That's PLENTY of time for him to dodge. That's not a very convincing defeat.

Didn't you see White Ranger's speed affect the battle? Because it did. The Gundam's reaction time is only as good as the pilot using it, in this case Zechs. Zechs does not have Tommy's reaction time. Not to mention, Death Battle made Tommy look very incompetent during the battle (He talks a lot with Sabba but he isn't that clueless). Tommy is much more focused as opposed to Zechs who hallucinates often in mid-battle. Even if Zechs only hallucinates for miliseconds, that's some precious time to be wasting to a guy who reacts 3.5 times faster than you.

Just finished watching this again, this whilst building my Gundam Epyon kit. ^^
Not to be one of the fanboys arguing against the video, but doesn't the Zero system or whatever just take info from the battle to predict? Kind of confused me how it would know about the Final Zord thing if they hadn't encountered each other before.
It could have been that it somehow "realized" that the tigerzord design was meant to be conectable with some outher components, and it show an estimation of what it would be like, hence that it just show a sillouette (how the hell is that word suposed to be spelled?), the fact that it was the actuall silouette was just for simplicity of the animation.
I thought that too, but the Tigerzord didn't show any hint about being able to connect with the other Zords. He just looked like a big robot the entire time the Gundam guy was within viewing distance. I don't know, it just seemed kind of strange.
keep in mind that the epyon system could make a more indept analizis than what it seems just by looking, I don't know if you have watched the series but it is shown that at times people can get some structural analizis of the suits wiithout ever coming in contact with them. maybe the system just pick some small hint that it was the case, and it relayed the possibility to the pilot, after all, the system's main purpose is to predict possible outcomes so that the pilot has an advantage
The Zero System take information from battle that is going on to give all prediction of all possible move to make while the Epyon System take information from battle that is going on to give prediction of all possible future event/move to make. All in all it almost the same system but use to relay information differently that why whoever use Gundam Zero or Epyon go insane.
The Zero System is basically a computerized ESP system, literally. If you're familiar with the original 'Main' Gundam series/timeline... the Zero System is pretty much a computerized Newtype.
8:22 That's an understatement. The Tallgeese could pull 15 Gs. Usually, the quicker the acceleration, the quicker the top speed. Wing Zero and Eypon are supposed to be even faster than the Tallgeese.
Compared to what we often see with other Gundam's, 15Gs is nothing. The Victory(Later UC) could get up to relativistic speeds, and the Victory II could outright GET to lightspeed.
They used the 15Gs to show the power of it. In real life physics, Tallgeese, Wing Zero, and Epyon were able to pull off more than 50-100Gs

"The Tigerzord must be able to keep up with him" ...despite never showing any sign whatsoever of reacting that fast in the TV series. You made an assumption, and that assumption was the only thing that made the Tigerzord even remotely competitive.
Just for reference, Gundam beam sabers are not lasers. They are megaparticle weapons. In other words, they are contained particle beams, and don't just cut using intense heat like a laser. Contact from one is like a diamond-coated cutting disk rotating at a speeds approaching that of light, or a sand blaster tossing grit at about the same velocity. Same for beam guns and cannon. There's a reason why armored shields in Gundam rarely last for more than one or two hits. Plus, in classic Gundam, there was enough particle scatter from beam gun fire that a near miss was enough to boil away armor from the target. The beam didn't even have to hit directly to ruin someone's day. In the death battles I've seen so far, Gundam weaponry has been severely underrated.

It perfectly captures how completely unapologetic the Power Rangers are about the thousands of people they kill every time the haphazardly throw something through a down town building, and the emotional bull ****** of Gundam.

Time for me to be a huge nerd. But in Power Rangers (as a kids show) they explain it off as they "Magic Away" (exact phrase) all the damage created by the fights. So long as they win theirs a magical reboot. Think about it. If there wasn't the city would be wrecked. No way they rebuild after every. single. fight.

That's not fair, Captain Planet has five things.
A couple problems with using Captain Planet in a death battle:
1. As far as I can remember, CP has never overcome his weakness to pollution without outside help, which is not allowed.
2. Any thematically appropriate opponent for him (such as Aang) Would likely not be able to attack with anything besides the elements WHICH WILL HEAL HIM.
This is my favorite one. Love how they incorporated tropes from both of the shows.
Funnily enough, this matchup makes sense. They’re the very best one could make their designs.
Remember, the other five Gundams of that time were build by a coalition of underfunded and undersupplied colonies, while Epyon was built with everything in stock so it could be made the pinnacle of Gundam tech at that time.
And the White TigerZord was going to show up the entire line of Thunderzords on its own.

Plus Kiryu is one of the few foes Godzilla fought to a draw.

Luiz Gustavo asura (mostly in destroyer form) is probably physically the strongest video game character I have ever seen and I have played aloooooot of video games he also out classes mist anime and comic book characters so putting him up against anyone he usually wins so a no limits asura beats pretty much every body that relies on any kind of physical fighting. That being said normal six armed asura is still a major stomp against most because he was able to beat that sword guy who's name I can't remember and that guy flicked an elephant with his thumb. So yes he beats dante and kratos (and I'm an extreme dante fan). Dante would beat kratos though

not even, the original RX 78-2 gundam was able to learn from each battle, exponentially getting stronger, the only reason it ever was destroyed is because is it was immobilised by the first brain controlled mobile suit, and the fortress they were in exploded.
