Check out Hey Ho! On the Devils Back, A Bar in Amsterdam and there's lots more. They did 3 wonderful albums before going their seperate ways.

The bass instrument is a contrabass balalaika. They are Norwegian, by the way, and have a German name, pronounced cat-zen-yammer. Unfortunately they broke up in 2015.

    Hello Wave and Rosie 🖐❤️👍🙏
This singer actually reminds me of someone from the 70's named Ruby Star. She was the main backup singer for Blackoak Arkansas. Their most famous song was called Jim Dandy. She has the voice and presence that Ruby had.
As always, stay happy healthy and safe. Enjoy your day 🌞 and Keep Smiling. And congratulations 🎊 on the newest addition to the Potter family 👶

Haven’t you heard about the Katzenjammer Kids? Probably the first modern cartoon.

Great job sir! A lot going on here...lol So many questions! You know you can just ask open ended questions and I'll research it and get back to you. Not too much depth here, but this will answer many of them. From Apple Music "About Katzenjammer Founded in 2005 in Oslo, Norway, the quartet is comprised of multi-instrumentalists Turid Jørgensen, Solveig Heilo, Marianne Sveen, and Anne Marit Bergheim, who between them play accordion, mandolin, guitar, piano, balalaika bass, glockenspiel, trumpet, kazoo, melodica, banjo, drums, and more." From /sites.duke.edu/dumic/instruments: "The Balalaika is a Russian stringed instrument developed in the 18th century. It derived from the dombra, or domra, a three-stringed lute played in Russia and Central Asia. It is possible that the emergence and evolution of the balalaika was a product of interaction with Asian-Oriental cultures." From "The Guardian": "The glockenspiel as we know it hails from Germany (meaning "bell play"), although the metallophones evolved together over a period stretching back 300 years, diverging into the gamelan instruments of Bali and Java in southeast Asia and the vibraphone, celesta and glockenspiel in Europe and America." From Hohner: "Invented by Hohner in the 1950s, the melodica combines the advantages of a wind instrument with the versatility of a piano key accordion. This makes it not just a popular beginner's instrument, but also the instrument of choice for artists of all genres." I guess these girls fall under the category of Cyndi Lauper's song "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"! Thanks again!

Easily the most talented musicians...that actually write sing and play their own music across all genres.

Hi Wave, Katzenjammer literally means cat whining and my dictionary translates it into English as hangover, so it's a miserable state to be in. It is pronounced roughly like Cutsen Yummer.
