- By request: Frank, with Was (Not Was), performs "Wedding Vows in Vegas," then chats with Dave. Uploaded previously by two others (who date it as 1988 but it's actually 3/23/89) but complete here.
From E!'s syndicated broadcast August 17, 1995.
I will miss you Sweet Pea. Grew up with the best black male voices and Sweet Pea remains one of the most distinct ❤
He's the guy in the suit and hat.
Frank Sinatra jr. was a great singer on his own merits.
Should have done more modern stuff like his sister did.
Are you nuts!!!
"Get ahead on my own merits
And if I fall I'll take it like a man"
I thought he was he was just Fabulous with the group.
Wish he would have of recorded more songs with them. RIP Frank Sinatra Jr.❤️
I still play this CD..
RIP Frankie. This should have been a huge single. Beautiful song.
Beautiful! Frank Jr. sure was his dad's son. He actually blew the lyrics at the end of the second verse, and recovered so smoothly and quickly that unless you knew the song, you'd never even notice. Ever the professional. RIP, March 2016.
GOd I love this song, always have, I wore out my CD copy of What Up Dog!
Fabulous song and performance !
I first heard this song literally as a kid (my uncle had the Walk Like A Dinosaur cassette single) and it's been one of my favorite songs in life. Even 30 plus years later...
This was a great song as done by Frank Jr. and company. Great memory and so as well Letterman!
Dig that flute solo.
Sounds almost like his Dad (talking & singing). He's got the phrasing and tone. I am happy he had the balls to team with Was (Not Was) and actually did a great job on this song. I think Mel Torme may have encouraged him. The group is wonderful at this sort of thing. I wished they would continue doing this sort of thing and surprise us with whoever they convince to sing for them. Jack Jones always had a pretty good rock voice ("I'm Indestructible"). RIP Frank Jr.
Not to bad. Looks just like the old man 🍁💕💕
Thanks for posting. All my life I wanted to hear the house I live in and Francis Wayne did it when I saw him. What a show. 🙏🙏
Awesome . . . SO much love for WNW and the collab :)
excellent, nice to see the whole interview
My wife and I saw Jr. In concert with his dad’s full orchestra.
It was unbelievably good. He sang many old standards and it was like watching Sr.
Uncanny.
Wonderful then, wonderful now....👌
Horribly great
He was good. I am surprised we did not hear more from him back in the day.
RIP. Great song!!!
Aka Frank and Rickles. Too funny and great stuff. Well done!
He had great timing and musical taste.
Well Done!
I think the brillo pad joke worked. Two great guys who worked well together!
Saw this when it first aired.... cool so cool.... and I think it was a flueglehorn not a flute on the cd...
I had no idea it was frank Sinatra Jr my mind is blown.
In a word: Sa-MOOOOOTH! I so miss this act!
I saw both live independently
Thinking of you Richard. I'd love to have talked to you about this.
frank jr certainly seemed to have a healthy sense of humour and got some decent gigs out of it too! this being one, but his little cameo watching silvio dante tear a strip off an idiotic wannabe mobster in 'the soprano's' (second series?) must be the finest!
Very good song and the singer. He should have song more WNW songs.
RIP great singer
Do you have Was (Not Was)'s first appearance on Letterman?
I have every show.
Dave looked kinda pissed about that Brillo pad joke, interview OVER!
Yes he did look angry. Didn't have to be said. Smh.
@@karenbannister2300 they were out of time. I don’t really think he got it but they were out of time. That’s the main thing I didn’t get it either.
This should have been a great break out opportunity for him with a new generation. Maybe he was just too busy being his father's new conductor - he once alluded to this in an interview.
On the flip side cassette on walk like a dinosaur .
Beyond tasty
3:54 Richard Nixon guest appearance.
I can see it.
Looks like Sammy Davis Jr. Jr. is there too.
It's strange as wealthy ad he was that he didnt make sure his health was good
My humble opinion, I think if Frank Jr recorded music in the Smooth Jazz genre, I think he would've killed it and would've had the opportunity to break away from his father's shadow.
Yeah, I don't know why he didn't try to do his own thing.
@Bigbadwhitecracker he tried to do his own thing in the 1960s
@@patl6978Yeah but Smooth Jazz didn't start becoming a thing until the 1980s at least. I think Frank Jr could've easily joined the ranks of Smooth Jazz heavyweights like Sade, Paul Hardcastle, and Dave Koz. Had he recorded some albums in that genre, he would've killed it because he did a fantastic job with this song.
Pete Panek
S. O. S. Pad, yikes!
I thought he was a cool guy and sang better than his dad. Seriously.
You're not the only one. I know people who saw Frankie in concert and said he blew his old man away.
I love the band but Junior ain't Senior. You can go now.
Brenda Thom What the Fuck? Don't messed with the Sinatra's.
Brenda Thom Stop fooling around.
He is himself..he is not wanting or trying ti be his dad..he was born into it
Try it and then judge
