Amazing tip some people usually forget when they go herping, always put something you found back where it came from. That and if you flip a rock or log you should always put it back. Awesome job Coop!
What stunning little dragons! Great hardy little species, I wouldn't get one our my own I just love learning about different reptiles- especially our Aussie ones :)
Raising a baby now! Such cool lizards. It’s still tiny maybe 6cm. How often should I be feeding it? Generally I drop a couple crickets in multiple times a day and some days I put ants in
The best thing I like about your videos is that you get right into the topic. Such informative video. I live in Sydney and really interested in these little colorful lizards. Just a quick question. Can multiple lizards survive in a single enclosure? Or they like bearded dragons where you keep a single reptile in an enclosure? Are they territorial?
Hi! Checking in from the Otter side of the globe (Sweden). Is that low incubation temp common amongst Aussie agamids? For me that sounds 10 degrees off, and you are going to try lower temps? Wow! I don’t know a thing about this sweet little critter and I love your informative and nice videos, so don’t take this wrong. It is not criticism but an honest curious question. Keep it up! Stay safe! Cheers! /Ricard
Hey coop love the vid i just got a question about drinking i have a water bowl in with my beardy as well has try and put drops on his nose which she dont seem to like would she be getting enough water from food or do i keep at it with water on the nose
I would ĺove some. Unfortunately here in Victoria ( despite them being native to Victoria) we are not allowed to keep them, no matter what licence you have. Nobody can tell me why. Really annoying.
The problem is the Vic population is genetically different to the current captive population. Captive Mountain dragons are mainly NSW and Tas populations. The worry is if some escape they could genetically dilute the endemic population. If the ban was to be changed, the following would need to happen. Legislation preventing mountain Dragon import into Victoria and legal capture of wild Victorian dragons to start a captive bred population. This can be a lengthy and expensive process. Easier for all involved just to have a blanket ban on the species. However there are some great other allowed species of dragon that are small and easy to keep. Nobbi and Eyrean earless dragons come to mind.
thanks for the info
Beautiful, unique lizards

Glad you like them! Ive found they go fine together if they are females with a single male. General rule for all lizards is do not keep males together

No mate most dragons here have warmer incubation temps. There is a few that live in cooler environments that will perish if incubated too warm
I get those fellas around my place :)
Very cool!
Do a video of a bob tail skink
Hey where do you find them
Hey coop love the vid i just got a question about drinking i have a water bowl in with my beardy as well has try and put drops on his nose which she dont seem to like would she be getting enough water from food or do i keep at it with water on the nose
Might be drinking from the bowl when you aren't around if she seems healthy I wouldn't worry but I'd continue the spray drinking at least once a week
How old do these have to be before they can mate ?
