I honestly thing it's genius - I just haven't tried it personally, and again I'm just a bit too big in my opinion to go down this route. I also think if I switch my current wall general to all flats, I'll end up getting destroyed by solos (can't protect my high tiers) But I think it's a worthy pursuit for smaller keeps that fully believe in the strategy

@@JB-yq4hi I think Conan does this against range rallies, it has to be a timed strategy, because if you get sieged without siege range it's going to be a massacre
Hi Singh, first of all thanks for the great contents that you are sharing, your video are phenomenal!! I have a slightly different interpretation of the report showing the the defending siege dealing very small damages to archers: the battle is made of many rounds and siege start attacking from the very early rounds, but since the attack is Low they take many rounds before to zero the enemy Hp…so when playing in defence the siege attack the enemy range troops for many rounds reducing by a lot their HP, but at the certain point also the ground troops reach the archers and they both attack them at the same time. Since the ground troops has an higher attack they have a much higher odd to deal the last hit (the hit who kill the enemy troop) so from the report you will see that the ground killed a lot of troops, but it doesn’t mean that they have done all the work, most likely they have only deal the last shot after the siege took away the most of the enemy Hp; it’s just my interpretation, but if you compare it to a siege attack (where the siege are the only attacking unit and there is no attacking ground) it kind of make sense
I have seen this theme of targeting priority from several sources that essentially suggest that as the rounds of combat progress the things that can attack target the lowest HP layer they can hit. This would mean that your biggest siege with the longest range is getting a target lock on the enemies T1 layer first. The problem is that while they wipe that enemy layer out easily, all other layers are moving together as well, that is to say that what was once your T13 and T14 siege getting all the picks of low hp targets, each round they have to share the target list with the other layers. By the time the ground is able to attack all the nice juicy enemy layers are in contact and your long range guys are still working on the smaller fodder enemy layers. TLDR, removing siege range skill book and siege range ring might make your siege kill a lot more but also might make you more vulnerable to being counter sieged from somebody with massive range.
I thought I was going nutty when my defenses started going point-positive once I began bulking up my ground layers (instead of Siege). I can't read reports worth a diddle so this makes sense. Thanks Singh!
Could you make more videos like this? With other aspects of the game. Like assistant general pairing, mixed marches, gear on sub city generals etc etc...this was awsome video!
Great content king sings, i still think that siege and and archers should probably get higher attack over ground, So with ground having so much defense and HP I’m sure they will be fit to withstand the enemy archers for a long time while your archers with the help of range bonus book helps deal good damage too the enemy ranged
I picked Leo III over all for sure, but building up Leonidas I as well (no spec yet, but I'll get there). I did find on C4 younger server (Aug 2021) that the BIG player on our server ghosted a good portion of his Mounts and his defense is unreal! He uses JEJ (to which, I think he is awesome if no one else, but Leo III is better in many ways). It is also what swayed me to go with Leo III vs Marshall - however, I get why now with 10 Billion+ like you, you literally cannot ghost your Cavs easily...
Well I have William Marshall as my main wall General I have him at 6 stars right now and I just recently got him fully specked out my 5th general specked out so I have 1 more before I can finish upgrading the Victory Tower to lv5 well that and the resourses of course. And I have Oda Ouchi as the Assistance Wall general because it looks like they both buff different troop types so there is no overlapping on there main skills so they both work together and I feel between the 2 generals all troops get buffed.
Siege gets debuffed too hard. The ground speed on the wall is a great decision, getting them into the fight as early as possible and it can’t be debuffed.
I'm with you on the ground buddy. I think the trend with siege starts early. Before debuffs. But then you start making ach gear and siege becomes less effective. I know ground attack is harder to debuff however I think grounds biggest strength is ground defense. Tell me your thoughts if you don't mind sir.

If siege don't engage when being rallied, what's the point in starting off every attack with a siege bomb? "To clear the siege so the archer rally that follows is more effective"... right?
My understanding is (and it's all theory, there's no solid evidence) is that when we t11, as long as we're sending a lot of marches + upper layer siege + layers in the march, t14 siege layers + t13 siege layers will engage (round 2) and round 3 t11 siege will fire once at archers. round 4 t11 siege will fire again at archers. round 5 attacking t11 siege will fire at t12 siege. Defending t11/12 siege will fire back at t12 siege (very important to know t12 siege, which is a layer). Round 6, if defending t12/11 siege is alive, they will target attacking t11 siege now. I'm not 100% sure, but this is all theory. But during this (mainly after) all the layers are engaging. The defending range troops will attack the cav layers. The lower level siege layers are still advancing to engage. The defending ground are stuck on cav layers, or ground layers, or trying to prioritize arch layers. The defending cav are going after attacking ground layers / engage fast, then make their way to siege relatively quick.

Initially, I recommend focusing on a ground based defense, with some cav HP / cav moderate cav count(like 100k t11-14) and 50k layers. I think you'll end up tanking all 3 attack types at your bracket. Obviously if you run into a behemoth they can send anything and win, but if you are against normal folks in battlefield, you should be going positive if you build this way.

I prefer leonidias over any wall general, skillbooks i suggest ground attack, range bonus, and ground hp. Range bonus is for giving that range troops the extra distance to kill off mounted troops to protect your ground troops so they dont die to cavs and destory range and siege, best of both worlds. JJ/marshall to me are still very awesome because they are all rounder generals but i think you should work off of based your defense layers. When i used JJ i ran range bonus/siege bonus and cav hp cav hp very important because that is what helps kill off ground

Not for nothing, but the math on t13's makes them the new t12's once t15's become more prevelant. 2.5 vs 2.25. Thats t12:t14 vs t13:t15 rss efficiency per unit. 1.3480153649:1.3517498138 is the stat efficiency. Essentially, t13's are the new defensive t12's

This is very skewed (towards one troop type) design. you are prone to solo t11s seige. There are two types of first attacks, seiges and archers. You are protecting for archers and keep seiges vulnerable. I looking forward to reports to see your seige hp.

ye ...siege attack siege first thats why your siege high tier died first ,archers second (highest tiers) siege attack from back to front....Legionaru 552
27:14 - 27:23 I keep laughing.
Not for nothing, but the math on t13's makes them the new t12's once t15's become more prevelant.
2.5 vs 2.25. Thats t12:t14 vs t13:t15 rss efficiency per unit. 1.3480153649:1.3517498138 is the stat efficiency. Essentially, t13's are the new defensive t12's
bro nice content , one correction , ground speed is how fast your ground attack , it’s not matter of how fast they walk it’s how many hits they deal
I'm close to 100% sure it's how fast they walk
It is how fast they walk.
It has nothing to do with combat just making your troops go faster to monsters or keeps or any other target so save you some speed ups that's all about it
Why no archer range on your wall gen?
I used to run it, but I personally haven't seen it make a difference. It would be interesting to test it out again though
Hello, i have some questions, can you help me, is there any email i can reach out 😊
Hey singh how do I sell my account? I think I'm done playing evony. Spent a lot of money on it. Never spent so much on a game.
Try just selling within server. If no one bites there’s evony account selling forums.
This is very skewed (towards one troop type) design. you are prone to solo t11s seige. There are two types of first attacks, seiges and archers. You are protecting for archers and keep seiges vulnerable. I looking forward to reports to see your seige hp.

Very good and informative video ,but these type of videos are not for the common player. They are for the big coiners. I am k31,and i spend money more than i should on this game, and I am nowhere near these type of stats ,not even 1%. Seeing these type of stats makes me want to quit the game because common players like me ,who play because it is a game and try to have fun ,can never reach stats like the big coiners. Evony has become a money grabbing exercise if you ever want to be competitive. But, thank you, like i said, very informative videos.
Those reports doesn't make sense. Why doesn't this game make sense? I thought siege were good against archers 😢 Every time I think I figure this game out, something doesn't make sense fml. lol
It is still great against solo range - and I still think t10/9 siege perform well against range, so I wouldn't knock siege off entirely. This is more for rally mechanics
