@jakereid4137 Correct! Use an adjustable shovel! You use an adjustable metal detector with adjustable shafts! Allowing you to extend your ears (hearing) from your ears to the ground! Not everybody is stacked at the same height! Alternatively, make several trips to the trunk to change different lengths that the same result could be reached by remaining on your knees and simply make the necessary adjustments.
Got one of those sparky shovels a couple of weeks ago,great in soft ground and for back packing. It does take some getting used to after the pheonix,but it has its place in a digging kit😊

I think I can make a rubber foot pad with an old tire, a skill saw and some ss bolts and washers counter sunk into the rubber. May not need it on this smaller shovel though. That shovel looks like a one stab weed diggen beast! Looks like it needs a ball handle! My Forster reloading press has a ball handle... that should light up that mini shovel.
This short shovel needs a 30" D handle shaft. I lose 10 days off of my life when I dig a hole with a short shovel. I lose 10 hours of my life when I watch somebody else dig a hole with a short shovel. I just absolutely do not understand the short shovel and do not want to understand the short shovel. Makes complete frikn nonsense, why would a person do that to their knees??? Sorry for the rant!!

"I really don't care about the 25 dollars... I just want to dig a hole in the ground without making a mess." The Phoenix... well I'd rather dig a bigger hole faster and make a smaller mess anyways. Pretty much free shipping on the second smaller shovel and I'm gona use it to dig up weeds in the yard. Plus I always have somebody wanting to tag along and so it never hurts to always have two of everything.
The big park in my town has many ring pulls and also older pull tabs, I dont even want to dig them all out, I have no one to help dig an area, which is a double edged sword, when I dig something good I think great I have no competition that was just for me, but when I dig something junk I think I wish I had more hands helping me
My parks used to have lots of ring pulls, we done dug most of them ringpulls up many years ago. That is where you will find gold rings. I am sure the Phoenix shovel will make it go much faster for you. You wiill be able to dig out many more targets per hour with the Phoenix. Please let me know how it goes with your new shovel.

Damn it!! I have had several of my friends who I hunt with have their speakers fail now. I have been very lucky with my Legend. My Legend was one of the original prototypes. I hope you get yours back very soon Neil!!
I hope since I got the newlegend with the lg30mine dosnt crap out, I also broke my headphones first day so ive only used the speaker I find its not as loud of amachine as the simplex plus

I have the Ranger and the Phoenix, but hands down I use the Phoenix 90% of the time. I'll use the Ranger if I want to dig an extra deep initial plug.

my legend speaker failed i sent it back to the us repair center took about little under 3 weeks also can depend on how busy they are

@@digginggopher I suggest not turning the speaker volume all the way up. I usually have my speaker volume at 3 on the Legend
