Kotoko - sexual abuse Nagisa - mental abuse Monaca- child neglect (it is abuse) Jantaro - emotional abuse Masaru - physical abuse Also, this is sort of a rant but please do not say “this character had the worst backstory” or “this character had it the easiest compared to the others”. I’ve been seeing that a lot, and I don’t think you should rank trauma. Trauma is trauma, don’t put down a character for their abuse story lmao.

In case you don’t know, here is his full backstory. This one is a bit more complicated then the others. Masarus dad was a huge alcoholic. He was usually always drunk. You see, his father went through so many beers that almost every day he would force his son to go to the store and buy more. But, because masaru is...a kid. They wouldn’t sell him any. Whenever he returns home, he would explain that they wouldn’t sell it to him. His dad would scream at him saying that it was an excuse, and would beat him. Eventually, masaru had to resort to stealing the beer to avoid getting beat by his dad. But usually, it didn’t work. He would cry and scream to the cops about why he was doing it, and that he had to. But those fucking piece of shit cops wouldn’t listen. They always brought him home to his abusive dad. After the cops left, his dad would beat the shit out of him saying he got the police on purpose to not do it, because he’s a wimp. I’m also pretty sure his dad would beat him for being scared (correct me if I’m wrong). So eventually, masaru would get used to it, forcing himself to never be scared. Most of this info is in the books and journal entries. I’m pretty sure I got some parts wrong, but yeah.

This VA did such a good job, when I played the game I actually had to take a break when every kid had their breakdown thing to calm down because I know what it’s like to have a breakdown like that, it’s so sad, the poor kiddos :(
I know their breakdowns are emotional and sad that I want to protect these children, I wished we could’ve saved them in the game, like seriously no hate to kotoko but why was she the only one saved and not the others? she was annoying to me and the others just seemed more tolerable. It would’ve been a cool story choice and a chance for the kids to get some character development and I just want to see them using their robots to help defeat monaca at the end. Masaru and Nagisa are my favorites and I would’ve liked to see more of them, I know we got some development from nagisa but he was “killed” as well. Seeing these kids get a happy ending would just be amazing after everything they endured.

The danganronpa games make me really sad. The characters especially in this one all go through trauma and abuse, and I know that they are all real. It just makes me sad that usually I choose to avoid these kind of topics just because they make me sad and worry. But ignorance isn't bliss. Even though I know there's really nothing I can do to stop their abuse, I could atleast spread awareness. I wish abuse will stop.

Say what you want about the Warriors of Hope, I think they were some of the best written characters in the franchise. It’s pretty scary how the youngest characters in the franchise have the darkest backstories
@@AbsolLootley IKR! Kyoko is my favorite character! She's so misunderstood. However, I was referring to characters like Yuma Chitose and Nagisa Momoe. You can find their backstories in the side manga and Magia Record. But they are very similar to these kids backstories.
Yes! We would get more character development and scenes with them and maybe they could’ve helped us as well. At the end of the game there could be a epilogue for the kids, where they’re really are saved.

I feel bad for Masaru. He keeps trying to be a hero, but it's easy to tell that he's afraid. Also, what did he mean when he mentioned an alcohol smell at 6:22? Does it have something to do with his backstory? Sorry I haven't played this game yet.

Masaru's design looks like he could be a protagonist when he grows up.
The danganronpa games make me really sad. The characters especially in this one all go through trauma and abuse, and I know that they are all real. It just makes me sad that usually I choose to avoid these kind of topics just because they make me sad and worry. But ignorance isn't bliss. Even though I know there's really nothing I can do to stop their abuse, I could atleast spread awareness. I wish abuse will stop.
This Masaru Daimon broke his arm, while the other Masaru Daimon constantly punches large monsters and even a god. What irony.

Say what you want about the Warriors of Hope, I think they were some of the best written characters in the franchise. It’s pretty scary how the youngest characters in the franchise have the darkest backstories

@@AbsolLootley IKR! Kyoko is my favorite character! She's so misunderstood. However, I was referring to characters like Yuma Chitose and Nagisa Momoe. You can find their backstories in the side manga and Magia Record. But they are very similar to these kids backstories.

Yes! We would get more character development and scenes with them and maybe they could’ve helped us as well. At the end of the game there could be a epilogue for the kids, where they’re really are saved.
