I think there should be a trophy called you were amazing to be given to people like this guy who did a very good magic trick and executed it perfectly but didnt fool penn and teller
Yes... i agree... ive seen many contestants whom are very2 good but didnt make it just because penn was right... but some ordinary tricks went through just because penn was wrong...
The genius is the idea combined with the skill to execute. Some might be amazed by the sudden appearance of the Jack, but I think the real skill was loading it in plain view. I can’t see it at all. ¡Asombroso!
I think you can tell when Penn really like a trick as opposed to when he's just being polite, from how he smiles/praises - I think he *loved* this trick! And so did I, frankly- it's one of the best I've seen.
A trick so good it's only possible in a way they've never seen before, but a way they can figure out through elimination of all the other possibilities? That a tough break... If it was less clean it's possible they might have been misdirected... But you're so good you didn't have anything to hide behind. A really terrific performance, thank you so much for posting it!
Guys, yes, you caught him at the first couple of tricks. I'm almost certain that was intentional, because the actual big reveal of the trick is the last one, where he loads the jack into the two cut up kings. Even with the camera above him, even at 0.25x speed, even knowing the card was forced and he has extras, I don't know how he managed to stick that jack in there.
4:26 gives it away, he didn't load the jack during the routine and 5:00 is confirmation that it's not a normal card. Still impressive, possibly even more so given the mechanics of the trick.
Wow. Beautiful. I don't think I've heard gasps like that (4:49) in a Fool Us clip. Gasps of pure shock. And go figure: this trick can shake you, make you believe - if even for a moment - that magic is 'real'.
I don't know if there were any little things you wanted to show on purpose. I almost believed at one point that you were completely wrong. But ... This final revelation ... Wow! Well done.
@@santiagoferrari1973 the first is an easy trick anyone can learn in 10 minutes. That's why he showed it so obviously. It makes the latter ones really powerful
I think it's in the "never seen" part. He obviously forces that card at the beginning. Meaning he knows which card is going to be selected. I think they mean "never seen" as in that he uses different cards for the reveals. How he did the last one so smoothly I have no idea. Maybe something with arts and crafts
If you drop to .25x speed, and watch it from start to finish... it's still magical and I can't see how he loaded that card-but it took so long I got to appreciate it 4x as much.
2:30 at regular speed you can see the extra card. He fucked up and flashed it. You’d probably never see it from the front but the camera from above caught it.
Brillante!
I think the final deck he used is actually a device that's designed to shoot a card out incredibly quickly. Either that or some sort of device from up his sleeve that shoots it out, but it seems pretty apparent from the video it's shooting from the direction of the deck based on the way it bounces around when he catches it. It's literally not there 1 frame, and the next frame its there
that was really cool. i don't know how you did it, and even though you didn't fool Penn and Teller - it's still difficult to fool me... i generally catch most tricks en route. i think you'll fool them on your second or third try - maybe you've already done that.
These tricks are really preceded by artisanal production with a sharp scalpel, the application of clock springs and, most importantly, precise fitting. Then more than half of the success is guaranteed. Namely, this is the only method that can be used, apart from juggling with a fired card, which is not very reliable on the first try. In addition, he still applied a way of overlapping cards, as was noticeable for the first time - slippery cards and big fright. That's why Penn couldn't be fooled, and not just him. But it was original. Praise for ingenious craftsmanship is also not to be thrown away. Magicians should reconsider what they provide for the opening films, because some shots very easily determined the final evaluation.
Woww that was really amazing Fooled me for sure and I think that P&T just felt a bit oww yea we can do that maybe but dont want to admit that yes it did fool us
He got sloppy on the second trick when he said the audience thought he might be hiding something under the two kings. When he moved them to show there was nothing underneath, one of the kings separated from the hidden Jack and you could just barely see the edge poking out. So he actually placed three cards on the table and revealed the Jack that was tucked beneath the king.
Penn alluded to this in his code. I'm pretty sure it was almost on purpose, as he basically gives away the first 3 tricks as they're what are considered basic tricks that are in most beginner magic books. I thought it was a lot of fun, as someone who loves to study magic, to lead us on like that with some really basic tricks that were almost obviously telegraphed. Made me really lower my guard when the final trick was performed so much so that I didn't even think to watch for a method. Absolutely incredible performance if you ask me! His slights there at the end are so perfect that I'm pretty damned sure he was telegraphing on purpose in the first half of the act.
In between the border of the 2 kings, the card is folded, after he reveals the jack you can see it has fold lines. Possible in some way spring loaded to make the reveal smoother
I just watched this on TV, and the act is good. But, to be honest, I searched it up because I really like his glasses and wanted a clear picture of them so I can try to find a pair like them.
Wait WHAT!? Is it allowed for P&T only said "You are genius, but I dont think you fooled us"?? I mean, if we ever saw this trick anywhere else, that's okay. But even Penn said that he never saw this magic before, how does that okay to say that he didnt fooled them, without even trying to guess in code?
I'm not going to say what it is, but that very last part of the routine isn't very high definition camera friendly. I got it the very first time I saw it in real time. I say this in the hope that it can be improved in your future performances on TV. Great routine nevertheless and for sure it is the first time for me seeing this sort of an act.
It also didn't help that a big part of the trick is basically given away in his intro. Great stuff, but thought that was an odd choice. Guess he's more proud about making his cards. And yeah, bird's eye with 1080p much more difficult close up magic!
Heyy it can be done in 4k no broblem with the lenses !! I can't undertand what you are truing to say but thank you for the comment. And also thanks for your opinion and the way to improve the effect !!!
