I’m trying to figure Wheeler out. He doesn’t appear to have any particular mechanical skill beyond what the others have in the way of various casting techniques and such. As an avid bass angler myself, I can tell y’all one thing for sure......when you have the right tools and equipment, you’ve done your due diligence on studying the water you’ll be fishing, you have the necessary mindfulness and ability to adapt to changing conditions while on the water, you’ll be just like every other angler out there on the MLF and Bass Pro circuit. But if you’re able to have acquired the aforementioned necessities and you’ve acquired them while maintaining a well-regulated mindset which is to have the skill and discipline to do the task at hand, no matter what else may be going on around you or anywhere else on planet earth; and you can download information as data as it happens in order to calculate the next move in the pattern you’re developing in real-time,.....ah then, then you’re Jacob Wheeler. There’s no failure. There’s just information and data. And probably just as, if not more important, is having a wife that absolutely supports what you’re doing and will be ready to respond to what the team needs. A wife that understands that he’s got to be in top form each day, and she does her part to make sure of it, because she and he are correlative; part and parcel. Each essential to the forward movement and success of job.
