These are such special occasions for us to celebrate the enduring impact of Burns’ writing which remains so relevant to many of the challenges our society faces today. It was a joyful and buoyant evening and it was great to see the local SNP in the Borders on such good form. I was so pleased to have the opportunity to pay tribute to the outstanding service of Christine Grahame MSP who will stand down at the next election. Christine has set a marvellous example of how to serve the people she represents.”
