    Aside from mentioning the torques settings, what an exceptionally good video. Clear, simple, concise and well shown. Thank you.

    Just got a Passat B6 here in the states. I've been researching maintenance items so I'm ready when they come due. These videos are absolutely perfect. Exactly what I needed. I feel comfortable with the basics of a brake change, so it's great to have the specifics of my car without any time wasted. Thank you!

    Just finished the front brakes on my Passat. Video was very helpful and made the job very easy. Not having a torque wrench, I had to get a cheater bar from the local parts shop(loaner). All is good.

    Nice tutorial but a couple of comments. How about providing torque values for bolts; and would it be a good idea to apply anti-squeal compound on the pads and anti-sieze on rotor?

      While it's admirable to try to work on one's own car, this isn't a repair someone should be trying unless they already know to use anti-sieze/brake-quiet compounds and the importance of torque specs. This is a quick how-to for people who already know that stuff, which you clearly do.

    What's the torque spec for those bolts that use the No 7 bit at 5:05 ? Is the correct value 30 Nm ?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  6 років тому

    I’m in the USA. Is there another name for the “No 7 End Bit?” Is that sold as a 7mm Hex Bit Socket or does it go about another industry name?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for your feedback! In this case you will need a standard 7 mm hex bit socket. Best regards, Autodoc.

    No torquing at least? Or not necessary?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  7 років тому

      Thank you for your feedback! To save the time in the video some stages of the repairs might have been excluded.. In practice the torque wrench should be used. Best Regards, Autodoc.
