This drink with oysters would be a match in heaven ..
sounds like a plan, win, win i think.
Too everyone complaining, the Bloody Mary cocktail is left open to interpretation more than almost any other cocktail. As long as it has Vodka and Tomato juice you can basically call it a bloody mary. Everyone puts their own twist on it. I rim with celery salt, and add soy sauce and horseradish, use franks red hot sauce, and garnish with a lemon. Each person makes it differently
I don't understand why people think a Bloody Mary is gross or "creeps" them out. It's the best cocktail on the planet! Drink em 3 times a week. I like savory not sweet. No Daquiris or Pina Coladas thanks.
Just made this at home (with a tad less horseradish being the only thing I changed) and it is SO good. If you like bloody marys this will knock your socks off.
+Denise Hawkins I was thinking "that horse radish would make me vomit", I can't stand even a tiny bit of horse radish, I'd have to skip that ingredient.
@@ejmac11 it works so well with the rest of the ingredients tho. in balance, you shouldnt even really be able to taste it
wow...people have been rather rude in their comments on this. i dont get it. that recipe looks damn good to me.
Never had a bloody mary before, and I wasn't interested in changing that, either; this changes everything. I would love to try that cocktail.
Great recipe. So many people complain about the dumbest stuff. If you don't want the bacon, omit. If you want more bacon, add more. And btw it's not weird to garnish bloody Mary's with snacks. The more the better in my opinion. If you guys want a toned down sissy version maybe you should visit Martha Stewart's website.
Carolyn Miller fuck yeah, well said.
You said it right. The more the better. Damn these pussies complain about everything
Right on. I made some of these the other day and they went over very well. Thanks for your reply!
Killer blend. Magnificent. Thank you.
Just made this and it is amazing! I didn't have the rim spice you use, so I used some Cajun mix and it was very nice indeed. Really worth an award. Thanks!
The best recipe I´ve ever seen!
Amazing!! Proves that mixology can be an art for those that are truly passionate. Versus those that just seek a buzz or to get wasted by some "bartender"
The trick to quick execution is to have all of the ingredients ready. We do 40 -50 over a regular weekend at Elixir and more during football season, when we open at 9am. But making a batch of the mix is easy as well, then it is a quick build.
drool...sounds awesome to me! cannot wait to try this recipe. finally you do the bloody mary. i have been waiting and i must say, you have not let me down.
amazing looking. will have to try
Vodka and tomato juice with Lea and Perrins Worcester Sauce is, without doubt, a meal in it's self, and adding the bit's this gent did ... genius.
Looks perfect
Amazing, thanks so much!
Very well made. There is so much creative potential for the Bloody Mary and too often people throw that away by using a mix. This is your chance to make something delicious and unique. Take it.
Oh Jesus...the bacon. Why didn't I think of that
I think I would hate it, but I'm certainly gonna try it someday
As a professional bartender for many years and very proud of my Marys, I concur this could be amazing. The dill is a preference addition-a very strong flavor that is not traditional in a Bloody. The amount of horseradish seems excessive but that depends on the strength of your horseradish. Other than that, I think this would be delish. I am a big fan of anything that resembles a salad in a glass so I would still include traditional pimento stuffed olives and celery. If you need room in the glass, cut back on the tomato juice and serve some on the side. BTW bacon in a Bloody Mary is AMAZING.
It's now soup
+rcireland LOL
Basically
Guys. He is sharing his recipe that has apparently won awards. Is that seriously something to complain about? Oh boo hoo, this video took a whopping two minutes and fifteen seconds out of your time. Get over yourselves, people. If you don't like it, find a different one and move on like a freaking adult.
Hannah Sweat no shit
Thank you!!!
So many recipes goes into one drink!
"The best bloody mary you will [n]ever have"
Indeed
Thank you, kind sir.
Damn close to what I use, never thought of the old bay or pickle but I do add BBQ sauce & minced garlic.
You are very welcome!
Dumb question but what's a good tomato juice to use? All my life I've been taking the easy way out with Zing Zang's and other pre made Bloody mary mixes and now I want to do it the traditional way. I reckon V8 will be just fine?
Old Bay.. hell yeah!
George's Bloody Mary Mix
Originated Ocean City, MD...the single best mix ever. Go get some!
You have to respect that everyone's palate is different and there's no perfect way to make everything for everyone. And some people just want to be heard. I call it the Yelp Principal. You just let it roll off your back.
Bravo
were is the hambuger that goes with the bacon. i like bloody mary but i wont make it this way
If you love Liquor.com, you'll love Ali Rosen's summer drink How Tos, over at Potluck Video!
Is pickle brine just the juice that your pickles are in?
jenshirley Yep
I like to use bacon infused vodka in a Bloody Mary :)
That Bloody Mary is a meal. Imagine the satisfying gulps of that elixir after a night of heavy drinking. Oh yeah...
bacon garnish, gotta try that! Bloody Mary's are awesome, if u've never had one or any variations don't criticize. This is a standard recipe.
i also garnish mine with some pickled okra and a couple olives
i hate bloody mary but ... well i think i would give this one a try. When cocktails and cuisine meet: Hell! that's amazing
ah the Bloody Mary, always crossing the fine line between cocktail and soup
Add some vodca to your tomato soup and voilà!
quel bacon mi fa impazzire
You're welcome!
its seems more like a snack than coctail
After a night of drinking LIT's and whiskey sours, you might find one of these is very helpful the next day.
I love a red snapper with a little spice. This would be too much heat for me tho (But i bet it tastes good nonetheless) ;)
a peace of bacon ??? :O
Demonized Moreras piece * dipshit
Great recipe for home or a slow day at the bar, but realistically there is no way you could make these fast enough on a busy Saturday or Sunday as a bartender. Certain corners would have to be cut...probably mixing most of the ingredients together sans Tabasco and possibly the horseradish. The bacon is a nice touch.
E.C.T....Epic Cocktail Time?
This is why you go to a bar for the drinks you might be too lazy to make for yourself at home. Love the touch of bacon idea but hold the dill.
♥
God that looks good. And I don't even drink.
Want
Bacon yum!
bacon + booze: it's what's for breakfast.
HA!!! I use an entire cow!
Post the video.
Drool
Overall fantastic video, this would be great if it did not have the pickled brine and pickles in it and the crappy tasting dill, may try it without them, just my preference
I love cocktails but I don't understand this one.. This creeps me out..
I think he left out a secret ingredient because they mention nothing about the addition of a whole egg that's @ 1:37. or am I just seeing things?
it is the lemon wedge he dropped after squeezing it
challenge accepted
Bacon and Vodka makes everything better.
dont bash it till you try it just saying
💫💫💫💫💫
Tomato soup
Bacon yuk, place a chicken drum stick in it why don't you.
sorry, but does anyone like the taste of that?? o.O
I wonder how many people actually buy that shit
So basically tomato juice with vodka.
Only Vegetarians gave this awesome drink a thumbs down. GOD BLESS BACON!
The Bloody Mary is a great drink, one that can be ruined with too much vodka. I like to use a little less than a 1:2 ratio of vodka to tomato juice. Something like a 1:3 vodka to tomato juice.
If I'm simply drinking to get drunk I will skip cocktails entirely and drink straight from the bottle, so it's important for me to focus on taste when drinking a cocktail.
Hahahahahahah what?!?!?!?! You better charge 50 bucks for that drink.
This is like milking a cow. What was the person who invented this thinking?
+Snow Nerdy ??? The guy in the video says that he invented the drink, it is apparently award winning.....
Why not throw in some shrimp, peanut butter, and hamburger fat?
Just one piece of bacon? This recipe sucks
That's not a Bloody Mary, that's a Vegan Nightmare. You won awards, fine. But if your cocktail has more food than booze is not a cocktail, is a meal. A meal with Vodka.
It probably tastes great, that's not up for debate. But that, my friend, is NOT a cocktail. And it definitely is NOT a Bloody Mary.
Poor Hemingway. He'll cry when you make this for him in heaven.
You may be right, but I'm sure as hell gonna enjoy this meal when I make it! ^_^
To much vodka not enough tomato juice
This is literally vomit!
Drink it at least once in your life dipshit. Its amazing.
I think you need to think a bit more about how you use the word "literally"
Is this guy hungover, shaking pretty bad.
Not a fan of drinking or making the Bloody Mary. Too many ingredients.
That sounds absolutely disgusting...Oh well. To each their own. I'll stick with my long islands and whiskey sours. ^^
