Too everyone complaining, the Bloody Mary cocktail is left open to interpretation more than almost any other cocktail. As long as it has Vodka and Tomato juice you can basically call it a bloody mary. Everyone puts their own twist on it. I rim with celery salt, and add soy sauce and horseradish, use franks red hot sauce, and garnish with a lemon. Each person makes it differently

I don't understand why people think a Bloody Mary is gross or "creeps" them out. It's the best cocktail on the planet! Drink em 3 times a week. I like savory not sweet. No Daquiris or Pina Coladas thanks.

Just made this at home (with a tad less horseradish being the only thing I changed) and it is SO good. If you like bloody marys this will knock your socks off.

+Denise Hawkins I was thinking "that horse radish would make me vomit", I can't stand even a tiny bit of horse radish, I'd have to skip that ingredient.

Great recipe. So many people complain about the dumbest stuff. If you don't want the bacon, omit. If you want more bacon, add more. And btw it's not weird to garnish bloody Mary's with snacks. The more the better in my opinion. If you guys want a toned down sissy version maybe you should visit Martha Stewart's website.

The trick to quick execution is to have all of the ingredients ready. We do 40 -50 over a regular weekend at Elixir and more during football season, when we open at 9am. But making a batch of the mix is easy as well, then it is a quick build.

As a professional bartender for many years and very proud of my Marys, I concur this could be amazing. The dill is a preference addition-a very strong flavor that is not traditional in a Bloody. The amount of horseradish seems excessive but that depends on the strength of your horseradish. Other than that, I think this would be delish. I am a big fan of anything that resembles a salad in a glass so I would still include traditional pimento stuffed olives and celery. If you need room in the glass, cut back on the tomato juice and serve some on the side. BTW bacon in a Bloody Mary is AMAZING.

Great recipe for home or a slow day at the bar, but realistically there is no way you could make these fast enough on a busy Saturday or Sunday as a bartender. Certain corners would have to be cut...probably mixing most of the ingredients together sans Tabasco and possibly the horseradish. The bacon is a nice touch.

The Bloody Mary is a great drink, one that can be ruined with too much vodka. I like to use a little less than a 1:2 ratio of vodka to tomato juice. Something like a 1:3 vodka to tomato juice.
If I'm simply drinking to get drunk I will skip cocktails entirely and drink straight from the bottle, so it's important for me to focus on taste when drinking a cocktail.

That's not a Bloody Mary, that's a Vegan Nightmare. You won awards, fine. But if your cocktail has more food than booze is not a cocktail, is a meal. A meal with Vodka.
It probably tastes great, that's not up for debate. But that, my friend, is NOT a cocktail. And it definitely is NOT a Bloody Mary.
