@@MrFreakinAwesome20 long ago now, but I think you guys mean overdubbing. Either way, Zach uses an octave pedal for the bass sound, they don't have a bassist.
Billy is far from being a technically talented drummer but he somehow manage to be on my top 10 list of fave drummers... His surfe style drumming is so tight and he manage to make simpel drum rhythmes and fills sound so so powerful and static... Love it.
@@jeddeagleton3935 drums aren’t meant to be technical? What are you the drum dictator? I guess Neil Peart wasn’t very good then was he. That being said Billy does have a sweet flow he doesn’t just “keep a beat” he’s in the pocket
dude, the mixing is insane! can't believe my ears, congrats, guys also, much love for Hockey Dad, been following you guys since the first EP. cheers from Brazil
I just read the comment and inmediately think you are the one to help me get a tone close to theirs on the guitar lol, can you help me? I mean, I'm kind of an ignorant in this matter but I really want to get a tone like that without sounding like crap, so I kind of need some guidance
Been listening to them for a while but just heard this and holy shit I’m blown away! The quality sounds so good for a live session, they’re super talented and hope they get some more attention over the next few years! Def deserved! Come tour US!!
No . I train Brazilian JiuJitsu with an Aussie and it's hard to tell when he's joking sometimes , he'll say something and then be like " fuckk all man " I'm just like huh?
Oh my goddd....just saw them live this last summer and there is something about their dynamic and sound that combines sooo well. Such a crisp punky sound!
A night out with sounds like brazil by declan mckenna something with the chords or progressions for me, idk. just the chords, not how the lyrics actually go. the drums in the beginning or similar also
Easy. It's an effect which can be controlled via a pedal. When the pedal is turned on the guitar is also a bass. I hope that makes sense. Pedal turned on -> You can play whatever tune you want and there will be a bass playing the same thing. Notice that this bass is in almost all of their songs.
Apparently he splits his signal into 2 amps. The octave pedal he uses has output jacks for the dry signal and the wet signal and it seems like he runs the wet signal through a bass amp and the dry one goes through the rest of the pedals to the guitar amp. Other than that, it must be the P90's and overdrive imo. P90's have that fat and spanky tone that sounds awesome with some overdrive
Zach the guitarist/singer uses a stereo rig consisting of both a guitar and bass amp. So he has his signal split into the two (or possibly more, still not sure) amps and used another pedal to get that low octave bass tone. You can hear it on jump the gun a bit too.
writing with two people is awesome, but i feel like they could benefit with having more playing members for their live show. Sort of like a Mac Demarco kind of thing.
It's crazy what two people can do
@@legolorax wdym subbed over ? Like they just have recorded bass on the track

I love that guitar tone, and the drums are so tight.

I play the dums and he has true talent. He isnt just playing a couple of beats, he has a real flow.
Drums aren't meant to be technical. Leave that to pianos etc. Drummers keep the beat and that's exactly what he's doing. Perfectly aswell
That's when you become one with the guitar and bass on drums
@@jeddeagleton3935 drums aren’t meant to be technical? What are you the drum dictator? I guess Neil Peart wasn’t very good then was he. That being said Billy does have a sweet flow he doesn’t just “keep a beat” he’s in the pocket
@jeddeagleton3935 Lol imagine putting limitations on your instrument, your craft, your art.

As an aussie, im curious as to how many international people understand the small aussie sayings that the band say in this studio sesh
sammy_fkn_t most of it is good but some words I have no clue lol
No idea what their saying. Haha

I love these guys so much
great tactic to have interviewer ask Q's that he's dying to provide his own insights on
I used to totally agree but now re-watching, I wonder if he's just trying to give them a bit of a breather between songs.
Also that’s how you start conversation, it didn’t distract me, from the interview or from their set
Awesome!
The Barry circaaaaaaaa
Yesssssss, I'm so glad to see these guys on here.
That T Guitar sounds phenomenal
Love these guys!!!!!
its so weird for me that they don't have a bassist
Don't need one. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
What cymbals is Billy using in this session?! The drumming is so tight and the entire session is so tastyyyy
Daniel Steinert Looks like your standard A customs I think.
hi hats are planet z's, a custom crash and a sabian ride that i cant make out fo sho
i watched this live a few weeks ago so idk why it took so long for them to post it. I loves this band so much tho

tiggydiggy1234 i guess we wont need bassists anymore
+SPAM that's awesome though!!! I would have never thought of it.
SPAM Well, only if you want variation in the bass play THEN it could be a good idea to "invest" in a bass... haha
how good
They should contact The Distillers, the australian band Josh Homme's wife plays in and be their opening act.
Love this so much 💖
That intro music.
Can anyone explain me how to get that kind of tone on the guitar without sounding like crap? I love their sound

What guitar is this?
Its one of ours. T Guitar Model No.3 Deluxe. :)
Aw, thanks! It's really cool to get a response from the actual maker. Keep it up! Customer interaction goes a long way.
Do they come standard with the bigsby?
Heya Ozzys Man, they don't come standard with a Bigs - the they a damn well popular and so are often requested on the build.
I was trying to find out what this guitar was! I saw him playing it on triple J and couldn't pin it. I REALLY love the shape, looks sick!
Does someone know what guitar is used in this session? Thx in advance
dear lord yank! ask em about the fucking music!
Where’s the bass coming from?
he’s splitting his guitar into an octave pedal and then into a bass amp.
anyone know what guitar that is?
Does anybody know what Can’t Have Them is about ?
Sangat menginspirasi
Billy is absolutely stoned lol
What amp is Zach using?
Looks like a Fender Hot Rod Deville, not sure if its a 410 or a 212
What pedal is he using?
"Were huge simpsons fans"
Later on "They just can't get the spices right!"
What kind of guitar is that?
I found out: it's a T No.3 Thinline Deluxe guitar.
