Would be nice if you include the Gimbal repair. A # of Anafi users have loss their camera following a crash, requiring them to dissemble the gimbal section to check for cracked pieces.
Thank you, I successfully replaced an arm with no previous experience doing any electronics repairs before!
There's a massive omission in this video. My version of the ANAFI has the GPS cover fixed on by two more screws that aren't shown here. Any they are small screws - Torx T1 or T2 (don't know yet until my Torx set arrives from Amazon and I can try and remove the screws) But until you can remove the GPS cover you can't get at the arm fixings. So on later models you need an extra Torx size that isn't mentioned here.
Had the same issue, almost broke the cover before noticing the extra screws

My Anafi has drowned yesterday in a lake.....I found it on the bottom and.....after 24h with hair dryer(without opening it) It's ALIVE !!!

What about the back side of the main board where the sd card holder is? Suddenly at 2:27 the main board is lying on the table!

Ur video is incomplete you fail to show how to put the loading spring and small retaining clip back in during the assembly of the amateurs. What the hell
Thanks for the video. To all naysayers you can buy mechanical parts from Parrot from their website, unlike many other drone manufacturers. This video is intended as a "guide" . You still need to have some mechanical/modelling experience and something between your ears in order to repair successfully.
yeah right... but your beloved "guide" is missing the most important AND difficult part. Removing the main board and most of all, putting it back. With the most fragile connector i've seen in about 40 years and the most piece of crap rubber shock absorbers money can buy. Probably an info your "something between your ears" has missed...
Well I have a broken rear leg and I am following this guide. At 4.47 mins you have to push the bolt out. They introduce another screwdriver which they don`t give you any info on to what it is size or type, it looks as though they turn before pushing the bolt through. So up until I find out what this is repairs have to stop as this bolt is solid and will not budge. As for their website I did try to buy a mechanical kit but as soon as you try to pay without using paypal it is downhill. More importantly no drone company in Scotland will touch this drone send it to Parrot they all say, problem with Parrot is they will not do the repair. I would also like to point out that there has been many questions addressed to Parrot on their official video and they have not responded to one, which is a bit of a surprise at I thought since Parrot do not have a customers support in the U.K and refuse to fix your drone they may be interested in answering questions in this video. This is not that complicated to fix if the video provided you with all the proper tools which they do not, even harder when they refuse to answer questions on the video. Parrots consumer advice wing is appalling more than happy for you to buy their product but cannot be arsed to help you fix it when it goes wrong. Best bit of advice that I can give is do not buy a drone from a company with no customer support in the U.K Parrot is that company. My next drone will be a DJI as everybody fixes them in Scotland which stops you going around looking for nameless screwdrivers from a company who cannot be arsed answering basic question on their very own You Tube video

I followed the instructions and when I attempted to unscrew the arm hinge screw, the head stripped completely. Any ideas? Nothing is sticking out of the plastic that I can grab. I have tried various tricks but none have worked so far.

anafi thermal suddenly went into emergency landing then it fell from the sky then it said engines have cut out, the obvious thing that is broken is the plastic brackets on the camera, do you have instructions and parts so I can repair it? I believe the camera itself is still intact other than the small micro cable came unplugged. The wire with the sections of shrink wrap is still in tact. what are my options? Thank you.
After a crash, I am not able to align the camera/gimbal back to the proper position. I've adjusted the camera up to the maximum of 5.0 ... but still need, the equivalent of, 2.0 or 3.0 more points of adjustment.
I have tried "resetting" the drone, as well as other things, but when I try to Calibrate the Gimbal, I always get the message: "Place done on a steady surface and click OK." Also, when it tries to do the calibration, it doesn't move properly as does my other Parrot Anafi.
And I've also tried doing it with my other Controller ... same result.
So, this makes me think that there is something wrong with the gimbal.
Do you know if when replacing the gimbal if the motherboard must be replaces as a 'matching' set?
If so, do you have any idea where these may be purchased from in the U. S. ... or a good repair company? Thanks

At 4.47 mins in this video after at the start you bring in another screwdriver which (this is what I think ) you use to turn the bolt before pushing it out to release the arms. What screw driver is that ? I have followed this video to replace a rear arm and that bolt which holds the arms in place will not budge ?

Amazon has the complete mechanical kit for $100 right now but it's not OEM so I'm not to sure about the build quality.
My Anafi is having trouble maintaining altitude as soon as I take off sometimes he just drops altitude so fast he hits the ground. Can give you a clue as to what might be causing this behavior.
Remembering that he's not having trouble holding the position just his height.

I think we should first teach people how to use anafi instead of teaching people how to split anfi. In fact, you simply did not provide any repair parts that consumers can buy.

hello everybody here, what if we plug the 4 motor connectors and the antennas into wrong socket, will it still work? My anafi keep flipping before take off, and i dont think it's the propellers. thank you

Parrot Anafi, no crash, up to date firmware. Starts up normal, but the gimbal fails to initialize. It twitches in one direction then stops. It will then repeatedly try to flick back as though trying to intialize again every once in a while. Any ideas?

My anafi doesn't fly but the blades spin... I changed it tho ... will that be the reason ?
I would try an match the prop arrows to the motor arrows I got them backwards once an the motors would power up but would not take off I would check that if you haven't already
Check blade/rotor rotation.
Each motor has two triangles on the rotor, indicating rotational direction.
This would be a better guide, if we were allowed to include images in our replies.

The connector holder is too delicate to service without a spare onhand.

yeah, the directions were not very good. I followed it step by step and assembled my new legs, and after I put it all together, no my SD card reader won't read, and I can't record videos. I love the Anafi, but this was a very bad experience. The whole thing took over 2 hours and after all this, I can't record with the drone.

Your video leaves out a lot of stuff, you don’t even explain how you take the ribbon and right front antenna that’s underneath the board off! You literally skipped that
Dont even bother wasting money on the kit. Just toss and buy a new drone. I tried this repair and some of the plastic connectors broke off. This is way too difficult to repair.

You skipped whole steps, like disconnecting and removing the memory card holder, and disconnecting and removing the circuit board with the vertical camera. And the copolng fun does not just pop of with a flip of the thumb. In fact it seems designed to not come off at all. This machine is disoposable and should be marketed as such. Parrot is a horrible company with lousy products.
You fucking kidding me? Parrot makes great products for good prices, professional photographers using Anafi to shoot videos for their work, I also use their products and never had issues, Bebop 2 was highly reparable, but Anafi is far more advanced, thats why its much harder to repair, but it doesn’t mean its crap or disposable, DJI drones also disposable but cost twice as much, just learn how to fly and you will never have issues...

If I live in the third world country I will try to fix it, but I live in USA I have no time for this, I rather throw the drone in the garbage and buy an other one, very simple!
