Theater Play "Don’t kill my dream"

Theater Play "Don’t kill my dream" is made by minority youth in Mitrovica. The theater play is presenting the challenges of the youth from minorities in Kosovo related to the early marriages mainly imposed by their family, relatives and as well socioeconomic situation they live. Theater play is organized and implemented in cooperation with NGO Përparimi Rinor i Ashkalive të Mitrovicës.

Balkan Sunflowers Kosova established 5 Grassroots Theater Troupes composed mainly from Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities from 5 municipalities present the problems minorities face through theater performances and present actions to deal with the problems. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the issues/problem Ashkali, Egyptian and Roma communities face, and as well to promote interethnic approach toward solution of the problems. Youth from different communities are role models for many other children, adults, communities and as well institutions, by promoting the interethnic cooperation through art.
