I think there’s a reason why Gyeo-ul said he should show affection to her everyday. Maybe she grew up in an abusive household where her dad was abusing her mom. During the call, she constantly asked if her parents fought and when Jeogwon asked “ Is there something you are not telling me?”, she hesitated and said no. That will explain her cold behavior too.
Yeah I definitely thought that too, and the fact that she didn’t hesitate to step in during the abu$e scene shows how much she hates it. Even a human with morals would be scared to jump in immediately and help but she didn’t think twice, same with season one when the dad was abu$ing his 2 kids. She didn’t think twice to go chasing after him.

Yeah, I thought abt this too. Maybe that's also why she fell for jeongwon cause he is like super extra kind. Also why the abusive husband in last night ep seems to like agitate her and stress her a lot, maybe it reminds her of what happened in her family? Hopefully we will see more of it, whether it would be true or not. And hopefully she will tell Jeongwon abt it when she is ready

Since they haven’t experienced it, they are obviously a lot more afraid than someone who has. This is their most intimate kissing scene yet. The way the camera uses a half body shot to capture their body language. How their lips are hidden in some parts also makes it more intimate as if saying that there are some things about their relationship that only they are privy to. I think I've replayed this scene 100x..😂

This may seem a little late but I'm writing this comment when we are at ep9 and we know there's something going on with GU. I think we all misinterpreted this conversation, coz ShinLee don't create a scene just for the sake of it; everything has a meaningful impact on the future !!
The question here should not be 'what' GU said to JW. The question is 'why' did she say she wants affection, IMMEDIATELY after JW asks her to tell him if anything happens. She KNEW she might loose him if she revealed her family problems. She KNEW he might no more love her and she is scared. She is insecure about love and it is deeply ingrained in her hence this statement.

My fav of winter garden in this episode was actually not this scene. But the part when she bought food n was waiting for the lift. When the lift door opened she greeted the staffs with the usual ‘winter’ voice but when she realised Jungwon was there immediately her voice turned ‘spring’.
Compare to what we got from season one. This is like a dream to me.
