Jolene was quite good, wanted to see what she would be like in RE4, but Capcom blew it and chose a plank of wood to act for her just because she is asian and non-union. Mediocre actress who never done voice work for anything and it shows.

Sorry RE4 remake but this soft spoken Ada cannot be topped, her poise and tone is just way too good. The whole voice acting in the remake fought an uphill battle and didn't even try, honestly.
leon and ashley sound great but yeah, the chief, salazar, ada and saddler all sound worse imo, still the games great, the gameplay is defo more fun in the new one than the old, I really hate the new salazar though, the old one had so much charm, I cant believe they didnt keep the knife in the hand scene

After playing the REremake rewatching this is a breath of fresh air i mean in the remake everything is missing her Bad ass entrance,Her seductive calm voice,The chemistry and tension with leon, Cool Outfit instead of that re turtleneck sweater, that tense leon scene ,The femme fatal charm is gone My god as an ada fan that hurt to see how everybody got a glow up except ada. Hopefully the dlc can remedy this issue
The turtleneck makes sense because they are in a cold place. What doesn't make sense is Ada wearing a dress and high heels on a mission full of mud. I'm a woman and I hate when devs put female characters on high heels because it makes the feet hurt, and it's awful to run with them. Aside with that, I prefer the original, Sally Cahill's voice and etc.

A good voice actress can make or break a character. Sally Cahill's Ada performance really made her role in the original Resident Evil 4 leave a lasting impact. Lily Gao's monotone voice in the remake makes the same character in the same role feel almost forgettable.
I understand that Lily Gao wanted Ada to be less sexualized and the stereotypical “Tiger Lady” femme fatale by not giving her an overly seductive voice, but her detached monotone was too far in the other direction. Re2 Remake Ada was similarly not very sultry, but she balanced the line of mysterious and still human.

They also changed some things to make more sense, like Ashley getting separated because Saddler controlled her with the plaga, instead of her getting upset at Leon for absolutely no reason and running right into a painfully obvious trap like in the original. I would argue Luis Serra is also an improvement upon the original. He gets more screen time than he did in the original. Luis died so early on in the og and there was so much potential. In the remake you get to fight a lot of ganados with him and take on two el gigantes. They even give him more character depth and a bit of a redemption arc. He is a more fleshed out character in this remake. But I personally think the original Ada and Krauser were better.

They made remake Ashley “a strong wamen who needs no man” character, the OG Ashley’s damsel in distress and cry for help, constant bickering and whining added to her charm. All those whiners and losers simping for the new Ashley sucked at the OG and are relieved they don’t have to save her anymore.
Such a shame since Ashley isn't even a recurring and permanent character in the franchise. They really had to butcher an established character like Ada whose backstory isn't even revealed up until now.
I actually prefer the written dialogue and edginess of the original. Though I do like the new leon voice actor he did great. So did Salazarr. I prefer Saddler, Ada and Krauser and LUIS OG voices though. New luis va is great but I like the dialogue/style of the old Luis

Most games should have that feature. And even a theater mode like in Halo. Though that'd be pretty much obsolete on Xbox/PC due to built-in capture capabilities. Not sure about modern playstations, though.

She is, but I actually prefer Luis being the one to bail Leon out in the Krauser fight in the remake. Luis overall is much more fleshed out and humanized in the remake so it fits. Though I was sad to see that “Little rough, don’t you think?” didn’t make the cut lol

I remember all her cutscenes dialogues, also most of Leon’s also. In the remake they should have a way for you to play the cutscenes back.
Most games should have that feature. And even a theater mode like in Halo. Though that'd be pretty much obsolete on Xbox/PC due to built-in capture capabilities. Not sure about modern playstations, though.

But in Umbrella Chronicles or something , she only got her hookshot from Wesker after she retrieved the sample(which is after the fall) 🤷🏻♂️…so yeah capcom could’ve done better there, hope the new game *properly* explains how she survive re2r this time .

It's an optional cutscene. At the beginning of 1-3, go back to the room with the insignia key instead of outside where the chainsaw guy is
