We do! Our channel is new and we are new to video, audio and editing so we spend a lot of time watching awesome videos like this! When we are filming its almost always 3 of us, Gramp, Brooke and Dad, but we are using Movo Wireless Lav mics on 2 people and relying on a second camera's internal mic or a Boya Shotgun. Needless to say we would like to increase our audio quality but keep it simple. The charging case is probably one of the most compelling qualities of this system. Thanks for video.
@@NOlimitsON Also do you have the replies hidden before approval? This might hurt your channel. I noticed my reply vanished when posted several times in different videos.
This review was so in depth! Thank you so much. I can hear the difference next to the other mics but not noticeable enough to not buy these. I think the set of 4 will be a real life saver, I think i will get these next after having lost on of my DJI mics :(
I got my set of Vimo Q mics.....I am a slacker and haven't done my video yet....I will get to it lol Great job dude! I think the noise cancelation does a very good job with this set! For sure the best I have heard yet. I just wish they had built in memory for these mics to record straight to them! If they did that would be hands down my new microphone would use.
Thanks for the video. Very elucidative. I just wanted to see how you could edit de sound comparing to the Rode (to see if they can go far or not). Thanks! :D
What’s the main differences between the rode pro and this? Other than price and 4 mics, Feel like rode is still the best best due to: Backup recording File upload directly through charger case ports Lav screw jacks
Of course rode is a better choice overall, bit of you need to record 4 speakers at the same time and the budget is tight - comica vimo q is a great solution. Don’t forget that it’s 150$ cheaper than rode)
You indeed can have 4 tracks being A B C D , you switch to quad mode, you will have to have a recorder that takes 2 inputs to separate the tracks (mixer) or you put one into the camera for the 1st 2 and then the other 2 go to external recorder.
How are you capturing the 4 separate tracks. Are you using with Adobe Audition or have the analog cable running into a mixer? You explanation at the end made it seem like it will still be stereo into camera but with 2 tracks on each channel. Is this correct? Then can you split each side in post to separate mono tracks?
My question is how is it with people going to so far away they disconnect then auto reconnecting? I need them to work on an environment will people might go out of range with it still recording then be able to reconnect by itself. Do you have experience with that or could you test it? Thank you
Yes, it automatically reconnects in 99% of scenarios. But for such type of job I’d highly recommend a system with built-in recording capabilities like DJI mic or rode wireless pro
@NOlimitsON Wow thanks for the quick reply! I'm not sure if there are any 4 channels ones with built in recording but I'm gonna search now. Thanks again!
Mhh...so the Audio is only recorded into to Movie File of the camera, right? There is no SD Card in there that could capture the recorded tracks individually?
with the quad mode you can indeed get 4 tracks out. you will use the out and monitor 3.5 jacks where 2 tracks are output on each, totaling 4, A B C D. if you are using a mixer this would be perfect.
I can't seem to get more then 2 mics to work at once, do you have any advice. As it is the other 2 mics just take up space and flash their lights at me.
Hallo Sir, I have bought the same Microphone but it doesn't conect to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Can you please tell me or guide me how to conect it to iPhone.
Hey) I think you’re using a wrong cable) you need a trrs to try cable (Google how it looks) + an original mini-jack to lightning adopter (3rd party adopters can have problems)
@@NOlimitsON Got it! Thanks man, last queation, how are the batt life? Sorry not too familiar with their products and your review is really good, just having these last 2 questions and the first one being more of confirmation as you said
can I mic 4 people in quad mode and split each mic into 4 separate tracks on my zoom? I can't tell from the video but it looks like I cannot. it will split it into two stereo tracks? I don't understand
This gets my vote for the most useless piece of gear of 2024. What's the point of having four sources if your camera can only record two? Were there a separate 32 bit recorder in each you might be able to work with this. As it is, this is pure junk. This might have been great for panel discussions but as it stands t's $250 worth of uselessness. Not even close!
I disagree. In post it is usable. You can make the tracks stereo and then you have four separate audio tracks. You can do this in Davinci. You people are spoiled with technology. And recording in wireless microphone systems is a NEW thing. This is a great piece of kit that can be utilized. Think out the box dear sir.
@@DJBooks1you are 100% correct anyone who can’t see the massive benefit to this is seriously lacking in basic comprehension and probably needs a little more experience with audio devices
@@DJBooks1 could you please explain how to do this in DaVinci? I'm a total noob when it comes to technology and video editing, but the idea of being able to plug one of these into the headphone out jack of a soundboard, then place three separate mics around a comedy club to get audience laughs is really appealing to me if it is possible!
@@DJBooks1Right now I'm using a Fulaim X5 System with 2 TX + 1 RX. I use a 3.5mm to 1/4" cable to plug one TX into the audio mixing board to grab my voice directly from the microphone I use on stage, and then tape the other TX at the front of the stage to capture the audience laughs.
Do you have a scenario for using 4 mics at the same time?

Thanks a lot for this real world test. All in all a very impressive kit, that Comica offers.
You always bring impressive gear to light, that's why I'm subbed! This is like the best podcast kit ever!

pretty cool. might come in handy. thanks for your great reviews
Glad to help
Great demonstration. While the noise reduction isn't perfect, it is better than most mics I've heard from other models and brands so far.
Thanks) stay tuned)
Durring the mic checks, what would be really kool would be to have the noise graph on your sides to show the compressions and the white noise
The power of technology these days white noise should be the least of our problems

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! But I need help as my transmitters are not connecting to my receiver. Thank you

You explanation at the end made it seem like it will still be stereo into camera but with 2 tracks on each channel. Is this correct? Then can you split each side in post to separate mono tracks?
There is no way to record 4 separate tracks… only 2 mics on left channel and 2 mics on the right channel
NoLimitsOn, where do you plug in a lavalier mic on the Comica? is it a paired port with the headphone input?
There is a port on every transmitter
My question is how is it with people going to so far away they disconnect then auto reconnecting?

Right, only to camera
So you get two stereo tracks out with 2 microphone per stereo track? I dont want to connect to camera, I need the audio into a mixing panel
Yes, correct

didn't have this issue... text to Comica support team, they reply pretty fast
Might be a dumb question but can I only use 3 of the transmitters at the same time or do I have to use 2 or 4?
You can use any amount)
Also I’m trying to use it for my iPhone 15 (usb c) what kind of adapter would I need to buy?
Good info. Thank you. 👍
Thanks)) good to see you in the comments again)
Can you make a video of it connected to a iPhone
Bro, I don’t have enough time to make tons of small videos about every nuance of every gadget))
does the system record audio on the device? or does it only record on the camera?
Of course not) only in camera
To be honest the noise cancelation is pretty nice
To my surprise - yes)

Did FX30 recorded it in 4 channels?
Of course not, I told in the video that the signal is only 2 channels (two track in the left and two in the right)

No, I’ve said about it multiple times in the video)) it’ll be two stereo tracks with two mics on each
The NR is better than DJI’s NR at least
It's too bad these can record to each transmitter, or the receiver couldn't record four tracks. That would be perfect.
That’s perfect and really expensive 😅

You can set it to mono so they all record as one track, tbf most recorders don’t have more than 2 channels anyway.
