  • Trnovačko jezero is a mountain lake in Montenegro. It is located at 1,517 meters above sea level. The lake is most likely of glacial origin. During the winter, the lake is often frozen, with abundant snow that can last well into the summer. The lake is completely surrounded by mountain massifs, whose peaks exceed 2000 m. The mountains surrounding Lake Trnova are: Maglić, Bioč, Volujak, Vlasulja, Trnovački Durmitor.
In the immediate vicinity, at the foot of Maglić, there is the Perućica rainforest (BiH) with endemic species of flora and fauna. Also, nearby is the Sutjeska National Park, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Trnovačko jezero is often the starting point for mountaineers for further goals, among others, to Maglić (2,386m).
