Being an actor and director gives him an insight into what really goes into making a movie. They all revere him for being a trailblazer in so many ways. It was almost out of necessity in order to have "Dances with Wolves" made at all.

Kevin actually rarely does talk shows as he is nervous doing them. You can see here where he fumbles a few times. He still tells a great story as he has walked in some pretty exclusive circles. Not only did "Dances with Wolves" win a boatload of Oscars, it made a ton of many. You could tell it was on a tight budget. It was, reportedly, made for $22 million. It made over $424 million!!! cha ching

Can't stand Gervais interrupting so much. A quick reactionary quip is one thing but he was constantly trying to steal attention back to himself
