Without a doubt the best MagSafe in vehicle charger that I have come across to date. It works perfectly, holds the phone better than the Apple charger, and looks beautiful while doing it. Definitely my favorite in vehicle charger for my iPhone now!

Thank you for sharing! Incredible helpful, especially because I have the same van and have been struggling to figure out where I would put a charger. It would be super helpful to see how you would manage the charging cable, like you referenced in the video.
BEWARE…After I bought my iPhone 12 Pro I searched for MagSafe chargers and found the Spiegel, and purchased two, one for my SUV and the other for my truck. When they arrived, the first thing I noticed was the Apple quality packaging, then the charger itself is very well made. I mounted them in each vehicle, finding the most convenient locations with as flat of a surface as possible. Neither vehicle offered an absolutely flat surfaces, but surfaces with a very slight convex contour. I cleaned the mounting locations with alcohol and then firmly pressed each Spiegel in place in excess of a half a minute. They worked great, but it did seemed from the git go that the magnet and phone plus leverage made for a weighty strain on the adhesive attachment. The Spiegel in the truck was the first one to let go after about two or three months when colder temps set in. The AppleSpiegle fell to the floor with a thud. I stuck it back in place a few times, now it rests in a cup holder. One month later the unit in the SUV succumbed to gravity too. My observation is the Spiegel is a well built unit but needs an absolutely dead flat surface to be adhered to.
Did you do a spotless clean (and not using just tissue paper) with something like isopropyle alcohol before applying the adhesive layer?
Your story sounds almost identical to mine. I mounted one in a 2015 Outback in a very similar place to the video, with a very flat surface, and it's worked wonderfully since it was installed. However, in my 2013 Corolla, there is no flat surface that isn't the touch screen. I found a spot that spanned two panels but when the dead of summer hit, the panels expanded and BANG, down came the mount and the phone. Now I'm trying to find some tricks on the internet.

I ordered the Belkin one. I currently have the 13 pro with the apple silicon case. So I’m hoping it works. Otherwise I’m not sure what to do either

Is this an actual Magsafe Charger? I don't see the Mag Safe charging indicator (green circle) when you attach the phone.

Is there any way for you to determine how the metal ball is attached to the tapered base? I am hoping there is a M6 tapped hole on the bottom of the metal ball, but I can make any metal threaded connection work.
How are the charging speeds for you? Using a 36W (2x18W USB port) QC 3.0 adapter, my phone still loses charge when in use and attached to this charger.
Would love to hear how it held up now that you have used it for a couple years. There are loads of bad reviews out there and curious ....
Pricey stuff to be honest. Is the mount and 12v adapter really worth it? Lots of other options out there.

ESR is better when come to installation on to the car air vents.
@techgooch do you think the magnet on the Spiegel charger is strong enough to hold the iPhone 13 pro max through a case that isn't MagSafe? I know apple says it can attach and charge with a maximum thickness of 2.1mm, but I'm curious if you have tried it. Thank you!

For the iphone 13 pro, this mount doesn't connect through most magsafe cases because the lip covering the lenses gets in the way. Not sure what to do now. Was really hoping this mount would work.
Do you have the clear MagSafe case? I’m curious if the magnet will hold well with the clear apple MagSafe case I have
Which case did you try? haven't used this charger yet but I'm finding that even though there's a little lift due to the case camera bump, it's still adhering and charging. I was looking to buy this one but won't if it won't work
Isn’t the diameter of this charge only slightly larger than apples? Not seeing how it wouldn’t work.

It’s probably your case, I’m guessing you don’t have a MagSafe case so the magnet has to reach through the case instead of just to the case

Constructive comments for you: 12min long video. So much talk. So much info surely. But what's the big issue with the magnetic chargers today? What's the main reason people search on UA-cam for chargers?? Magnets! Cause there are so many weak magnet chargers out there and they don't have a good hold. So it would be nice if you put more emphasis on it. For e.g. If you took the case off and try without the case to see how it holds with the inbuilt magnet. It would be nice to try with your other cases you mentioned. It would be nice to see it in action to know if it comes off while driving your car when you hit a speed bump etc. Also would be nice if you actually touched your phone to open an app whether it moves the phone requiring readjustment etc. I am someone who uses his phone without a case. And I still don't know if this charger is right for me after watching the review. Hope it makes sense. Other ppl also commented and asked questions. So maybe next review you incorporate all that. I liked this charger but it stopped charging after 14 months…..Spiegel would not warrantee as it was over a year old. No way would I buy another….
When plugging it into the USB port, can you still use for audio?
Well just for you, wireless _charging_ can also mean wireless _audio_
At first glance, I already see 1 thing I wish they'd improve... Instead of making the cable connect to a specific side of the circular MagSafe, it'd be more ideal if it connected to the base so that the rotation of the MagSafe itself didn't matter.
And how would you engineer that? And why? Just keep rotating the base until the cable is where you want it. The base will rotate on the ball as show in the video.
BEWARE! you have the use your iphone without any kind of protective case. If you have a protective case on your phone (like most of us) it will not hold at all and will keep falling.
