I agree on the whole line but for the APG; he is not a "natural" passer, and if it's true you can improve that, as he has already done, the 6 APG mark is usually a wall that imho separates good from talented passers, the latter of which he's not. BTW incredible content my man, u are really stepping up ur YT game
@@pushyotea8246 Yep , I was too thinking to how bad my comment was aging but man to be clear, nothing against the boy, he's good and improves wvery year. btw I still think that along 82 games the value will normalize to something like 6/6.something
People just don’t realise how good this kid is! dude came into the league as a top 5 defensive guard and one of the best rebounding guards in the league. The only thing he needs to improve on is his TOS, his jumper is progressing nicely. People just don’t know because SA is a small market team
People always say “dejounte hasn’t gotten better at anything”, boy has literally improvers every part of his game since joining the league, and took a season off for a knee injury(If I remember correctly) and came back even better, it took him a month or two to get his rhythm back, but this boy is a dog on the court with a work ethic outta this world. He’s just an incredibly humble, disciplined and mature young man. This spurs core lookin nice at the moment
The KEY to him being a star is hitting his 3pt shots. He doesn't have to be elite, but if he can consistently hit 36-37% off pull-ups and spot-ups, it will really open up his game both as a slasher and scorer in the paint and as a passer. At some point in his career, he was hitting that level on 3s, but then injuries came and he never quite managed to get his shooting to a respectable level.
Great analysis, and so far it's been spot on for the young season. Finally getting White in his groove, and the young spurs getting to know each other has been fun as they finally seemed to have turned the corner a month sooner than I had predicted. I'm saying it now, I see the Spurs making the 6/7-spot in the West when all the dust settles. GSG!
Honestly the Spurs could have been title contenders in the near future if Derozan didn't leave, both are having career seasons and could be a deadly mid-range duo
When DJ said he cut for the tone like he did. I said let’s go. He is going to be the best point guard in San Antonio Spurs history. He already better then Tony Parker, yeah I said it, and he is over Avery Johnson too. Just not with championships. He doing it as the head of the arrow. This is why it’s important Derrick White needs to keep playing well. To prove someone other than DJ can drive the car. Teams are trying to stop him first. Because they know the offense go as he go. Not anymore. We got two drivers now….hahaha Tony Parker or Avery Johnson can’t say that. Oh I did not talk about DJ off the ball skills. Hahaha. #spursnation….
@@zes4033 pls I’m from San Antonio and I watched TP his whole career. I never seen TP do what DJ is doing. Never not even when he got Finals MVP. Not on offense and most definitely not on defense. DJ is a 2 Way ball player. Parker was surrounded by very good players. But at the beginning he was a work in progress. But he was no Avery Johnson. It took a little time. His 3rd year we saw TP grow. DJ from the beginning was hold his own that is why he became Popovich favorite pG. TP left because DJ was rising quick before the injury. Then came back even better. What do you know? You probably believe football is real sports?

I feel like Murray could be on triple double watch regularly.

Glad you covered DJ!!! Love this channel bro!!!
One of my favorite players. Add some muscle & hone that jumpshot, gain some winning experience, and he's one of the best players in the league.

Great analysis Hoop Intelect. 👍 Hope he won't get traded for Ben Simmons.
Didn't even talk about his insane shot blocking for a guard.
Insane? Do you watch Spurs games? Because that’s not his game
Can’t wait for this damn season
New Dejounte video pleaseeeee 🤞🏼🤞🏼
