I agree, but what do you do with the songs you did in the beginning that you wish you could redo, because you can hear all the blaring mistakes? It’s like looking back at your teenage self and saying “Noooooooh, don’t do that”. By the way, you are the kindest person and are greatly appreciated.
It’s something I come and go on. I’ve seen folks remake older songs and really make them amazing. But my preference is to leave them as “time capsules”. Yes, I cringe. But when I look back I can see how far I’ve come!

“Blocking out the crowd” is good, but as you say, constructive criticism is important. I have been told that my music isn’t for everyone. Vague criticism: polite, but not useful.

Hey Pete, great video. How did you manage to record your own voice without monitoring it in realtime with headphones? Did you set the levels with a headphone before you recorded the video? Just curious 🧐
Yeah I just dialled in my usual mic gain and went for it! I’ve done a heap of these now and as long as I’m by myself and not playing back a lot of loud audio it’s fine. I even leave my speakers on sometimes such as in GarageBand Weekly shows.

Just curious, I’m trying to connect to focus right Scarlet to White two to my phone, iPhone 14. And it’s registering it but it’s just not connecting. I have a charger plugged in as well. Right. Can you help out?
