Many bloggers claim that they have never heard such a voice in their life, especially from a girl of such a young age! *Diana* *Ankudinova* leaves no one indifferent! In order to appreciate all the possibilities of *Diana* , you need to listen to a dozen songs. One gets the impression that nothing is impossible for her! She persistently improves her vocal and acting skills.
She is a goddess. She has no match. She is both above us and below us. She is unreachable.
Many who hear Diana for the first time think that her voice is autotune. However, this is not the case and Diana really has the lowest female voice - a dramatic contralto. Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic alto, the rarest alto type. Dimash is the universe, but Diana is the earth, our home ... and when you hear her voice you feel like she has wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and served you a mug of hot, dark chocolate. Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not love her child, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone in the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Finally, there she found love... from Irina Ponik, who worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for Irina ... Of course, taking a child into the family was not easy for Irina but she became her 'mother' when Diana was 5 years. Diana now lives in a poor but loving family.
Diana spoke badly but sang all the songs from cartoons. An acquaintance of her mother, a musician, noticed that Diana had a perfect pitch and advised her to take singing lessons. So, Diana took lessons from the singing teacher Elena Anatolyevna Kazantseva, who discovered Diana's talent. And so, it all started ...
The Arseniev period lasted from the end of 2008 to September 2012. During this time Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions.
Diana's mother became her daughter's manager, she found the addresses of music competitions, negotiated with the organizers and selected a repertoire. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances and competitions is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She is looking for sponsors because flights are expensive and took extra sewing courses. Since then she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary.
After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted children. She refused and in 2012 moved with her small family to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana now also has a grandma and has also lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her.
2013-2015 Diana played in the theater studio of Dmitry Marfin, director of children's programs at the Togliatti Philharmonic Society, whom Diana valued as 'a real workaholic and fan of her craft'. After her debut on June 3, 2014 (Diana played Becky Thatcher in the jazz musical 'Tom Sawyer and His Friends'), she met Svetlana Ivanovna Vovk, the director and pop singing teacher at the Togliatti College of Music and Rodion Shchedrin, member of the jury international and national music competitions and Diana's journey continued ...
Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant competitions so that other children could have a chance to win.
So, in 2017 on February she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Diana sang 'Yodel-Time' ua-cam.com/video/vKdvaWsd91Q/v-deo.html but none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. What happened? Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed but a new door opened:
In 2018 and 2019, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international Competition instead of “You are Super”, which was launched in 2016 specifically for adopted and orphaned children. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to UA-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020).
The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. During her vocal break, her voice sometimes went a little crazy. You can hear it in some videos from that time. She has mastered this time very professionally and worked hard to get the lost high notes back and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 - D6 ... and it will go on. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity. She likes to paint and draw so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… But did you notice that she only ever holds a microphone in her right hand? In her home studio, she is currently experimenting (Corona time) a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages. She loves the French language, but also sings in English and Spanish.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (similar to Juilliard). She studies in the specialty "Variety Artist". She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own song soon.
She will only take part in major competitions if invited. Such competitions require a lot of time, effort and strength. Not many Reactor’s catch that at the beginning the instrument is a Harp Not a Guitar. During an Interview she admitted that her lower range has deepened so she worked on her higher register which is demonstrated in her New Original Song. As most have said. She is very unique and her natural tone is deeper then this performance. Her cover of Human is done entirely in her natural low tone. She started voice lessons at 5 to help with her speech. Over the years she has also developed some overtones in certain ranges and mastered yodel techniques. Which you hear throughout her performances.

Jacob, isn't it great when people listen to what you say? That being said, when you began your video, you said that the purpose was to bring your thirteen years of musical experience to bear to better help us understand our favorite performers.
Yet the prevalent observation you expressed was "I don't know" , which of course was what we all said upon hearing her the first time. Nothing new and insightful there. Isn't that a fine pickle?
