Sometimes less is more, I know you meant well but mentioning anything about Mary Carl's situation probably wasn't wise. I doubt she appreciates everyone discussing her and her thoughts etc, she is a preteen and thats just part of it.
They usually like their privacy ( also love how her parents respect that!) and pointing out people being mean is unnecessary even if meant well.
Just saying because I have seen this often and doubt it's helpful and probably is why she doesn't want her parents to mention some things as people carry it on :(
Ease don't take my comment personally, it was more of a public service announcement as many people leave well meaning comments but don't think how it is still not respecting her wishes of just being on the side lines and allows comments to open and surround her for discussion on unnecessary things related to Mary Carl and no need to dredge up old news about hurtful comments

The other feathered community is hilarious the way they all have to come over to check out the VC’s new pond.
