Just so you know: they never have everything running at once. Most of their farms are optimised in a way that only one farm can run at any given time. Like with the mobswitch: they turn on the farm when they need it and then turn it off after to turn on a different farm

@@lofigaming1092 So basically what's happening is they have a witch farm up there by the gast, they then load in an enormous amount of chunks which is resetting the spawn ticks. Witch huts spawn only witches so only witches are coming out, the gast are in mine carts probably 23 (max per square) when the block is full a mob either suffocates or gets pushed over, gast are very large so they get pushed off the platform under them. Thus the effect we are seeing.

They posted the same video, mostly unedited, and there was a problem with like the second farm not activating. They fixed it inside of 5ish minutes. They searched almost 10,000 blocks and corrected the issue in 5 minutes or so. They're insane.
Perimeters have two uses, one is to stop mob spawning and the other is to decrease lag. They use the perimeters to stop mobs from spawning anywhere else so the only place they can spawn is in their farms. This will increase rates. This can also be done with standard mob prodding but that is inconsistent, and the lower in the world the more mobs spawn so having no mobs spawn and have the farms be at bedrock makes the rates as fast as possible.

Dont feel bad, they were around 10- 15 people. That means it will take you 10/ 15 times the amount to do it by yourself! So its a pretty good that you were able to do that on hermitcraft :D
The 10 hour 12million perimiters are usually livestreamed by multiple scicrafters, I highly recommend watching one of the streams as they are really cool.

Yup. 5 million items is therefore: - 53 double chests filled with shulker boxes that's filled with items. - 31 extra shulker boxes in a double chest. - 53 double chests filled with shulker boxes that's filled with items.
- 31 extra shulker boxes in a double chest. (Not 54 shulker double chests because a double chest has 54 slots and there are 31 extra shulker boxes left, therefore it's not filled and can't be part of the point above this one)
- And exactly 14 more stacks of items. (Again a single shulker box or chest has 27 slots so if there were 32 extra shulker boxes the 32nd one would fill up one slot more than halfways)
After som separate maths and wrong calculations I made this equation: (Added parentheses after equation was done so it's easier to look at, not part of actual equation)

First parentheses: The 14 extra stacks.
Second parentheses: The 31 extra shulkerboxes in the double chest.
Third: parentheses: The SHDCs (*SH*ulker *D*ouble *C*hests, yes, I made that up and I'm not sorry)
Equation for 500K Items:

First parentheses: Extra items that didn't make it into a full stack and was left after stacks calculation. (32)
