Kalona Sale Barn

The Mullet family have run the Kalona Sale Barn in Kalona, Iowa, for 75 years. It is still going strong, serving the area communities of English and Amish with their livestock sales, as well as the larger (geographically speaking) world of draft horse and horse equipment sales. We visit with Devin Mullet, the third generation to run the sale barn, and his daughter Rochelle, about their operation and horse sales and the horse market in general.

Very well done, but I would like to see more of the actual sale barn.

We bought 3 horses that day. Would have bought more but didn’t bring a big enough trailer.
