Hi Karin. Thank you for showing your fish they are amazing to watch, I think it's so calming to sit and observe. Also, love the blue dendrobium, it's so pretty, and by the way the country they come from...New Guinea is pronounced gin-ee with the g being as in 'girl'. It's actually our nearest neighbour and only a few km from the tip of Queensland so it's easy to see why this orchid shares a common growing area with Qld.
@@renatecormick7399 Aha! Some names ( and words for that matter) are extremely difficult for me to pronounce, but atleast its easier with english than German 😁 I should study the map better, geography was my prime subject in school, I just loved it! Duscus fish are very nice as long as you dont get them cross contaminated... but finally I've found some meditation that actually works!
Your Dendrobium glomeratum has gorgeous blooms, truly But I can see how it would be a tough one to appreciate for the few blooms on the end. But maybe if there was a way to hang it close to the ceiling so that the ends would be close to your face, it would be lovely indeed. But downside would be hard to water, haha. Lovely blooms! Enjoyed the video

Hi Karin wow thanks for a great orchid blooming video happy December nice Dendrobiums and what a magnificent cattleya eldorado it's a stunner 😀 fantastic Paphiopedilums 👍 and a very cute Restrepia 👏 and the Discus fish 🐟 are awesome love the Amaryllis are going to be very nice 😎 I had a power cut for 4 day we had a crazy storm 🌀 come through UK last Saturday so I been saving my orchid collection as they were cold for 4 days I have now moved them into my new grow room I think I can keep an eye on them better now I will be building a better greenhouse next year for them 😀 Take care & Happy orchid growing 👍
@@GazzybearsOrchidAddiction-i7o oh my!! That must have been a real horor story!! Moving all of them.. I just adore your greenhouse as it is but this seems a bit too risky.. I just duscovered that my large cattleya Cappei which refuses to bloom for me all of a sudden has 3 cheeth with buds just starting to form in there! Everything takes 3 years when it comes to orchid growing it seems, atleast in my collection 😁😁
@KarinsOrchids 👍 Yes blooming orchids can be a long wait until we see the blooms 🤔 Yes I like my greenhouse but it needs some improvements so the only way was to move em all out so I can relax a little bit now and take my time with this project 👍
Such a pleasure to find a video from you in a gloomy winters day. As always, I want all of them. Particularly the Rosey Dawn. Thank you so much for sharing. Also, can I ask how cool the temps in your apartment are during the night?
@@AmyDurtschi-v1i The Rosy dawn hybride may be the same one as they call 'white lady', she blooms more often than not. I tried to lower the temperatures in my kitchen but it got a bit too cold. It depends on the weather outside. I can adjust it with a ventilation fence. For now we have 8 degrees celcius outside and ny kutchen gets down to 19. When -10 it gets down to 15 perhaps. Nighttime that is. 😀
