really, this beat is so genius! Here's why I think so:
1. this whole song is made of many different short hi-hits, which is SUPER HARD to combine into a beautiful composition.
2. also, when you listen to the song you chill, your brain doesn't get irritated of a lot of little "tss, tss..." sounds.
3. and the sounds behind don't just fill the voids, but helps hi-hits lead the rythm.
yes, the lyrics (meaning) aren't the wisest obviously.. athough words themselves, i think, are put together very neatly. And Boat's vocal style and the beat with the sounds match together really good💫
(especially when he gets to the bridge and tries to take a high note🤤)
anyway, that's what i think about it (and I'm not a musician, so don't beat me plz😅)
