Fun Fact: I decoded this wrong :) I had to come back and cut insert keys to this sapphire of a Ford. Spaces 7 & 8 were actually a depth deeper than my original decode. The deeper the depth of HU198, the less compression in the decode. It kind of messes with you at first, but it makes perfect sense as to why they are subtle in their reading: they have less space to compress as they're already on the cusp of maxing out the mearsurements of this system. Kind of the same decode feeling as Toyota 10 Cut Ignition lishi. It too has an odd compression-to-decode feeling.
My lock is decoding like this and I can't get a good cut. But that arrow on Lishi doesn't it mean something? Maybe this decodes differently. I tried decoding like you were in the beginning and how you did 2nd time pushing the spring both ways don't work. Sucks because this picks easily. Like easier than hu101 got a cash tip if you got the recipe lol
10-bit lishi pick always confuse me especially some older module like 2014 Ford mini van start to use HU101, the cylinder was used too much so it cause some offsets on 1 side, so it literally means I have to stop at the begining of the spring and it will read right code and other side I have to push all the way of spring and record them, it will help a lot if the key has 1 or 5 because we never can read a -1 or 6 right? Anyway thx for your video and I really expect if I could grab a chance to try HU198 lishi.
What is the best way to cut a HU198 key. My old SEC E9 doesn't have it in its settings since it is 1st gen. Neither does my Laser Extreme it still is a version 1 of the software. If I update the Extreme do you know if it will cut that newer ford key? TIA
Curious how much force did you use to get lishi into the keyway? I've tried on 2 different f150s and it seems the lishi will only insert till about the 4th spot leaving 3spaces outside the keyway. Tried wiggling and jiggling it but something wasnt right. Also what keyblank do you cut on hu101?
@@JarethGarza correct but only about 6 spots would go into door, plus it seemed like I could only feel wafers in the deepest spot, just wasn't right. What car were u working on in the vid? Appreciate the reply! Also enjoyed watching your other vids between calls this weekend!

Looks like you had 4-5 first then changed it to 3-4 after moving the tool. So it ended up being 4-5?
This was my first attempt at HU198. If I had to guess, the wafers are serrated.

Anytime. Decoding is point-of-reference and can be tricky. Easy isnt fun!

Different program/system yet same blank. Old HU101 was external two-track. HU101v2 is internal two track

Bro, thats ok. F150 often only has spaces 4-10 in door locks.

Pick in the ignition happened to me as well. I tried it and 8 2024 f250 will not go in door.@@ronaldhinson4872

Not exactly. Its internal 2 track. HU101 is external 2 track.
