I’ve been on a couple rides led by Ron..ALWAYS a great time.
Right on!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. Ocala is a great place.
There is so many things that you need to see there. Every time I go I find more interesting things.
Great video thank's for the info.
You bet
Got my Tread Lightly! badge this February. Awesome trail, literally relaxing adventure. Didn't spot snakes but caught a bear!
We have wanted to take a trip in the late afternoon and try to spot them. Ronicon has some great footage.
@@FloridaJeepRides Ray and I Camp in Ocala on weekends. Every time we have seen a Bear it has been on FR30 at ABOUT 9:30 am🐻 They are MAGNIFICENT Animals💚
I did the same badge of honor trail for the first time this past Saturday! Had to clear out a giant tree blocking the first leg of the trail and it was sooooooo scratchy!
We had a few downed trees as well. Sand pines go over easy in strong winds.
FR9 is a Very Narrow Trail in some areas. Our Tundra is a bit Too Wide to make it ALL the way🤗 Driving in Ocala is So Exciting, Fun and Relaxing all at the same time😌 Love All of Your videos, Pr. Matt😎
Great video, thanks for sharing.
We had a good time and the lunch spot was very satisfying. Good food and over the top portions.
Super nice video!!! What a rain at the end.
It rained Friday morning while we were up in Tanglewood too. With a lot of lightning as well. Then my nylon bushing broke... but that's another video.
Great information on the scat 😂. We did the north side a few weeks ago, need to complete the southern part. Thanks for the information on the ticks, gotta to make sure I get the bug spray on.
I had a Lonestar on my knee from Saturday at Goethe.
Did the Tread Lightly Trail a few months ago in our Frontier, some really tight (scratchy spots) for sure. Found a huge trash pile that was blocking half the trail, lot's of litter in other places as well. Amazing how disgusting people can be....what a shame. People trash it just as fast as others clean it up.
We have seen that. Any time you get close to pavement. I used to fish through and find who's it was and call them. Tics me off to see that.
My husband and I Are Constantly Cleaning up the trash careless people leave behind. We Always leave it Much Better than we found it🌲🌳🌲
I can't really say that dealing with ticks makes me want to go wheeling haha.
Bug spray helps. Or go in the cooler season
I moved to Florida about a year and a half ago and I’d love to hook up with some other friends who off-road here in Central Florida. I’ve never really offloaded before, but me and my wife would love to find some hobbies here in Florida. If you could let us know how we could hook up with you guys in the future, that would be great.
We have a Facebook page and on occasion we drop a hint that we are heading somewhere...
Unfortunately, I am not on Facebook. Thank you for responding though
We have some in June sometime and are going to try and get Steve AKA Dusty Boogers out to Tosohatchee. Send us a email to floridajeeprides@gmail
My older brother and i sometimes take our tjs over there
I do love the TJ's, we just picked up a 2006 Rubicon on Friday and I am looking forward to getting out in it.
You Jeepers are funny.
Soon you'll get a "Badge of Honor" for driving on I-75. Haha. The trail you just did can be done in a 2wd pickup. How do I know? My buddy did it in a 2010 Chevy 2wd pickup.
I've been going to Ocala national forest for 30 years. They have some nice lakes for fishing and I know the St Johns river and backwaters like the back of my hand.
But for trail riding and Overlanding? Most boring, easy, no views but trees sandy, scratchy mess in the country. Not to mention they've closed most of the dispersed camping areas because of all the bums living out there.
You have to go at least as far as N George if you're gonna Overland.
Great video though.
It's a real easy ride... just a bit scratchy. There has to be a place that Jeep could pick out that would be a level up on difficulty. Just not endless mud and water. I would love to live back up in North Georgia again and have all the great trails up there.
Why don’t they clear the trails from all that side brush?
Some of the clubs go out and trim back the trails, it's pretty scratchy in the summer. They need an orange tree trimmer to keep it at bay.

We occasionally organize trail trimming days with the Forest Service to maintain trails but the Tread Lightly Four Wheel Drive Way Trail is 82 miles long and the Ocala National Forest has 400 miles of trails. It’s tough to keep it maintained with just volunteers.
Haven't seen your yj out lately do you still have it??
Yes we do. It has no AC so we tend to go when it's a bit cooler outside. It always starts and runs.
What air pressure were you running at?
When aired down 18psi, hwy at 40 or so. I put the Nittos back on for now.
