with how often Inga brings up her fancy toaster she should really be sponsored by now😂
The pie bird is the best! I have my grandma's and its older than me!
That's really sweet 🥺
I don't Bake pie but I need that bird
I NEED IT.
I know right?😁 I'll make a pie once every few years, and still I must have one. 🥧🐦
It’s so cutee 😭
1/4 and 1/8 sheet pans are SO USEFUL. They're great for broiling small servings of things in addition to the things Inga mentioned. Having at least one of each 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 sheet pans can replace almost all the pans you'd otherwise have (not replacing a casserole or dutch oven or that sort of thing, but better than most cookie sheets for most things).
They're even better when purchase the corresponding rack that goes with them. Fantastic for resting smaller cuts of meat.
I save the broiler pans from old toaster ovens to bake or broil small servings.
The pans she’s using will absolutely warp and permanently deform if used in a hot oven for any meaningful amount of time for roasting or grilling. I agree with your comment, but people shouldn’t treat cheap metal trays for mise en place work as trays for cooking.
@@fabe61 I mean, they look like the same brand of standard food service pans that I have, and mine have never warped and permanently deformed...
@@fabe61 It's a Nordic Ware, which America's Test Kitchen found to be the best sheet tray. They also found most don't permanently deform.
Not only do I love this channel because of the inspiration for my cooking, but because you're all such culinary geeks! Who knew raving about cool kitchen gadgets for nine minutes would be so entertaining! I mean, I did tell my friend the other day that the highlight of my night was being able to use baking soda and vinegar to deep clean the stainless steel pots my mom burned food on..... lol
You might also like the channel epicurious (if you do not already know them) they have a series where they invite a kitchen gadget designer to review gadgets. And I personally find it very interesting and helpful to see his perspective and added bonus, he's funny 🤗
@@Cora.T I love Epicurious!
I once fell down a rabbit hole of the 4 levels of cooking series, then just kept watching all of their content lol
@@FlagCutie I adore them too! I stared off with their series where they invite 50 people to do something and have been a loyal viewer since
I suspect you could also use the strawberry corer to core cupcakes for when you want to do sprinkles or sauces in the centre 🤷♀️ might be of some help if someone was on the fence about whether to get them or not
It also works great for tomatoes!
maybe getting eyes out of pineapples too??? brown spots on potatoes? since it looks pretty sharp.. it's looks safer or a tad less intimidating for people who wanna core stuff but not very great yet at handling knives.. 😅
A serrated pastry tip would work as well and wouldn't be a uni-tasker.
Oh I have a magic dusting wand! I've been using it as a tea leaves holder, no wonder the tea always falls out 😂 well now I can't wait to use it for it's intended purpose!
I use my tea brewing thingy for the powdered sugar, does exactly same job :D
yeah i was looking at that wand thinking..... isn't that just a tea infuser
Or a small-diameter strainer.
Those mini measuring cups are life, use both of mine all the time. Also check out the supoon (I think I'm spelling that right), best way I've found to reduce my kitchen food waste
If like to be lazy and throw them in the dishwasher you may find the markings wear off. They do stainless steel ones of them which I bought to replace worn plastic ones 12/10 would recommend
My recommendations would be cheap dough scrapers (have one nearby for *everything* you do in the kitchen and you'll wonder how you managed without them). A dedicated trash bowl/container for scraps next to your cutting board, which makes everything cleaner, more manageable, and speeds up your prep work. Lastly, use wire egg baskets for produce. If you have places to hang them, they keep onions, garlic, shallots, and fruits out of your way and off your counters.
Sure, they're not exactly gadgets, but all the good things are multi-purpose.
Inga, there should be a twisty bit at the bottom of the handle of the sprinkling wand that will turn the mesh part of the ball, so you don’t have to do it by hand :)
Week 9 of asking Andrew to cook for his next part in the series of : I cooked 25 pound of... Please use carrots and have your mom make you the carrot cake u have eaten for every year on your birthday and if possible please make 'Gajar ka halwa' which is an idian sweet dish made out of grated carrots, sugar, milk and different spices
I really enjoyed this video! I appreciate how you shared different ways to use the items, and maximize the use of them.
I've got the whole range of the oxo measuring jugs including that mini one... has been perfect when cooking.
I need those 1/8th sheet trays though for my counter-top oven. Most people in HK don't have the space for full size ovens and we have these tabletops that most companies don't make trays for.
Interesting!!
I have the stainless steel version of that mini measuring cup and I love it. But honestly, I mostly use it for cocktails because it ended up replacing my jigger/pony.
The "dusting ball" is very similar to the tea ball i have. Glad I have another purpose for it now!
I loved this video! Inga's stuff is so soothingly aesthetic.
I have the larger version of that measuring cup and I LOVE being able to see the measurements from the top!
Thanks for the video, Inga! The pizza proofing bowls and pie bird seem pretty great!
This was an awesome episode, you should definitely do more!
I am using stan Trays like yours that make prep work so easy. it is easy to wash, stackable, light weight.
and that make me like a pro-cook!
I own a small French press coffeemaker and I think it's a nifty thing to have. It's a little taller than a coffee mug. I use it to make coffee or tea and serve that in small glass tea cups. It also serves makeshift beer stein or even a mug if I remove the lid and plunger/filter thing.
What's the name of the product? Can you. post a link?
Loved the video.. I am saving this for my future kitchen design.. Like a pintrest board
Slanted measuring cups of any size are great! So much easier to see properly! I found a 0,5L slanted measuring cup from Tupperware in a second hand store a few years ago and bought it for my parents and they use it all the time!
Thanks for this! Have a great weekend, Inga.👍🏻💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗🤗🤗💗💗💖
Most of the those very specific gadgets (like the strawberry stem remover) are a huge help to someone like my grandma that doesn’t have that much control with a knife so I really appreciate them
Wow! I just made seafood and grits for breakfast and really wanted a gadget like the first one to dust Old Bay on top. Settled for pinching today, but will definitely be purchasing a sprinkle spoon soon.
You look stunning, Inga! And also, that pie bird is adorable. Thanks for sharing.
I would love to have that flatbread recipe, it looks amazing!
WOW Inga's hair looks amazing!!!
those little sheet pans are everywhere here in Tokyo! I love using them as well.
thanks for sharing your video!!
😘😘😘 Ordering three of the items immediately. I thank you, my purse does not. Those proofing boxes are $$ but I need them in my life!
Beautiful, Single, Bakes.
Nice!
I have a couple of the angled measuring cups and the little sheet pans. I use them all the time. I got the pie bird as a gift and more often than not, I forget to use it. I want the dough proofing trays and the dusting wand. If someone wants to give me the strawberry stemmer, they can but I can use a serrated pastry tip just as easily.
Love the Pie Bird!
Those strawberry stem removers are very handy. I get a lot of use from mine in strawberry season. They get the whole stem out quickly and easily.
I love 1/8 sheet trays. Also great to make the perfect amount of cookies for 1 person 😁😁
A mezzaluna garlic press, it's a game changer on mincing garlic, easy to use and clean! Also, loved this video! Keep these up. Some great suggestions!
I thought all of the gadgets were cool and would definitely invest in them when i get my own place. I do agree personal needs are going to differ on whether or not the gadgets are "necessary" or "useful". Additionally, i loved the transition of the croissant going into the toaster and peppers coming out! It was cute and almost like it was a magic trick
Maybe the stemremover also works with other things like tomatos
Love this gadget videos :)
The bird was so funny and cute coming out of the pie😆. But I would get the containers because it'll be usefule for me.
Hi Inga, about the dusting wand I think you can also use it as a teaball
As Alton Brown would say: Unitaskers do not belong in the kitchen!
I honestly thought that the 'duster' was a tea egg (something to put small cut tea leafs in) xD. Multi purpose maybe?
I thought it was a tea infuser first too
Love that burger tray and pastry bird.
I would love to see what you can do with one of those multifunction countertop cookers (like Bruno) that come in different configurations and could be perfect for college dorm rooms.
Oh man, I really want that blueberry pie recipe!😋🥧
Omg need that small measuring cup and burger trays!!
They also have full-sized angled measuring cups.
I have way too much pizza dough leftover that I've been trying to think of uses for and that flat bread looks delicious, thank you 😁
And that pie bird looks so damn cute, I need it..
Could you use the dusting ball for a Tea ball or a spiceball for putting in soups stews etc.?
I was totally expecting to not like any of the products, but those trays...and the pie bird... I may end up getting something from this video! Also...what is avocado coffee??
That pie bird is so cute.
My favorite is the burger tray 👌🏻👌🏻
I could imagine that you could maybe remove stems of other fruits as well.
Such as?
@@violetviolet888 Raspberries, Cherries, Tomatoes.. maybe the eyes of Pineapples etc
Wow you have great skin care 😍
In my house we use the first item to infuse tea (and very rarely to dust powder)
My goodness - American pies are just next level! 💜
Not gonna lie, the pie bird freaks me out a little bit. XD I worry i'd forget I'd put it in and freak out when I went to check on the pie XD Everything else seemed really cool and I definitely plan to buy at least a few
The strawberry corer thingy can also be used while cutting a pineapple, it removes the tiny needles that pineapple have pretty efficiently.
If you bake sourdough, i recommend those baskets you can get ricotta in instead of bannetons.
I used to work at a breakfast bakery cafe called Pie Bird!!
I need all of them immediately
My dad SWEARS by the little angled measuring cup. He uses it every morning for this coffee, and a lot of evenings pouring melted butter on popcorn. I had to laugh seeing someone else using it like I just associated it with my dad till now 😅
I just love your voice something I just watched your videos to just for your voice 😜😍
the strawberry tool also works for getting the stem part off of tomatoes!
I don't cook but watching this channel has been fun 😂
Although fun and cute, most kitchen gadgets are pointless. You can easily remove the stem from a strawberry by sticking the tip of a paring knife diagonal into the top of a strawberry, placing your thumb on the blade to prevent it from going in too deep, and the twist the strawberry and knife in opposite directions to cut the top off. This will give you exactly the same result as with this strawberry stem remover, if not a better result as you can decide how close to the stem you want to cut. If you want to be sure that your bottom pie crust is always crispy, then brush an egg wash on the dough after you've blind baked it, and then put it back into the oven to let it sit. The egg wash will create a barrier that prevents any moisture from getting into the bottom crust. You can get sieves, measuring cups, silicone containers and trays in all shapes and sizes, I wouldn't really call these gadgets, but they are essential kitchen tools that you should own.

i have never baked a pie in my life but i need that pie bird
i have never considered putting li hing nui on sorbet. that’s genius.
I use the sprikling wand when I drink tea 😅 I though it was to put tea in 🤔
Please check out butter bells!
the dusting wand is just a tea thingy
When the blueberry filling spilled on the bird head it will become a creepy bloody bird lmao
The first one looks like a tea ball
Did the bird not scream when the Pie was done? I thought that was the whole point.
Poking a regular straw through the strawberry bottom to top also removes the stem quickly and easily and really takes up no storage space.
I was waiting for the toaster oven tie in.
I was gifted a shredder from Satake - it makes beautiful shreds on zucchini, carrots and more! :'D
um if you are baking a pie that has a lot of liquid in it, like a forzen rubarb pie, you can use a pie ring, so if it over flows, it will not drip into the oven.
omg that croissant looks like it came straight out of a pixar film!!
Okay I love this channel and I watch the videos as they upload. I need some new channels to binge on in the same category.
Can anyone please suggest some new channels to me?
Prices too, Inga!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Inga's beauty?
I mean, she's gorgeous and also she has a lot of good advice :3
Make a vid on moka pots pleasee ☕
I love my dusting wand! I used it today to lightly dust my bench with flour when making baguettes.
But can we get the avocado coffee recipe? I'm intrigued
everything but the strawberry was great loland it was okay
need the price of things! all of these are fine, but not necessarily for the price!
I'd say for a second I kinda saw the snitch inside that dusting wand
every inch of me want to buy that pie bird. i never even bake pie!
i love you inga
Was that lihing mui on the mango sorbet? Lihing mui is huge in Hawaiʻi due to the Asian Settlers. (Our biggest population is actually Asian) My grandma is part Chinese and it was her dad’s favorite on everything lol.
That strawberry one is doing something you could otherwise easily do with a paring knife if you have some basic knife skills.
I see Inga, I click. I simple 🐒
I could see using everything but the dough proofing containers.
the poofing dough containers segment really seemed like an ad (especially because of the many descriptions and the zoom in on the brand). Is it?
Super cute Asian Panda 🐼
